Thanks for the feedback man! I'll definitely see what I can do. So far, the devs like it but want me to change up the chorus melody and some other stuff with guitar. So we'll see how the final version sounds! I actually got started on this song when I was browsing around listening to SF III music and other hip hop tunes. I came across the drum loop. It's on this royalty free "Urban Dance" CD. I've never used one of those before cuz I always thought it was cheating but it went along perfect with my bass, guitars and synths so I kept it. I've actually sort of changed stance of royalty free drum loops and stuff. They can be pretty inspiring for creating original tunes. Like holy crap, I was listening to Tekken 5 music and Ajurika used some of the stock FL studio voice clips lol

What the hell?

I'm tasked with creating a catchy menu type loop for a fighting game. This is my first idea. I looked to things like the Street Fighter III soundtrack for inspiration. I wanted the song to be driven by low, thundering bass and drums. With a sort of hip hop type beat. I also did some guitar and these cool bells. Tell me what you think. Lol the second teaser really does look like Ibuki and she is pretty popular. Which is cool because they do actually seem to be listening to fan requests. As you said they have already hinted at Lili and I can totally see her being in this. Which means if she's in, Asuka probably will be too. Tag partners being a huge deciding factor on the roster of course. So Kuma probably means Heihachi for sure, and Ibuki probably means Mokoto. I think Hugo and Dr. B are coming up next though.

Okay but what does that have to do with the game in question? Is there going to be a Wii U version? EDIT: Stupid question I already knew there's a Wii U one planned. Man I need sleep........

All of those things are far more than what most FPS games out there offer. Now it's all about tactical nukes, killstreaks and generic online fragfests. Looking at screenshots and videos I can't tell the difference between battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 unless there is a logo attached to the image. Duke Nukem Forever, despite being steam rolled by "professional critics" is humorous, lots of side mini games, and overall an entertaining game. That was it's goal, and it excelled at it. It wasn't a perfect game, but still more fun to me than the call of duty crap. The Darkness strayed away from the monochromatic wargames present in nearly all modern FPS games. Because most what you get now, is either a halo or COD rip off. My opinion anyway. Btw, they also confirmed at comic con a movie of the darkness is in development. Comic book movies don't seem to be ending anytime soon.

I tried Ableton and then just went back to FL Studio lol. The most I have to worry about is sometimes, if I leave it set to "leave remainder", rendering hangs up at 100%. The only other thing, I'm not sure if this happens in other DAWS or not...is if you're rendering with soundfonts and you have "enable HQ for all plugins" enabled, FL might finish rendering sometime in your late fucking 50s.

Really? I dunno I found the shaders alright. I thought MVC3 went way more nuts with it but that's just me I guess here's a comparison SFXT MVC3 I know MVC3 was supposed to look like a comic though.

Is that Christina Aguilera (when she was still hot) on the wall? NICE! Anyway, I loved it but I must agree with Dannthr on the arrangement. Some of the transitions aren't near smooth enough imo. Still definitely worth watching/listening to.

SONIC BOOM I love SF. Anyway, I think this is a real sweet orchestral remix of Guile's theme. It's killer but the violin sounds like it's always to my left. Kinda screws with your head a bit. There is also a bit too much reverb for my tastes. Said violin is also a little bit quiet. I think you already know this judging by your first post. In my opinion if you fix that stuff, this will really blow people's tits off with astonishment. Keep it coming.

Poison from Final Fight and other shit announced!!! OMFG. FINALLY He/she gets a shot in a Street Fighter game!!!! We got Chun Li, Yoshimitsu, Jin, and Cammy. Now if we just get Christie Monteiro from Tekken in there and if the music is done by whoever did SF 4 or the guy who did Tekkens 5 and 6, they will officially have made my dream fighting game.

In my opinion the first one was miles ahead of most of the other generic FPS warfare games like the Call Of Duty heat wave that doesn't seem to be coming to an end anytime soon. Yes, my hatred does stem from a lot of the gamers out there who won't touch anything that isn't an FPS. My main issue with the FPS genre is how stale it has gotten. That's why I like the FPS games that step outside the current norm. The Darkness stepped outside the box. For me anyway. Then again I'm a total Top Cow fanboy.
