  1. Psychowolf, it's actually 2.3 hours. A lot of the songs are good, but some sound like they where recorded from the built in microphone of their computers...
  2. I finished listening to all the songs. Many are of OCRemix quality. I totally do not regret the 2.3 hours i spent listening to this album
  3. So recently a well known Sonic Community website, Sonic Stadium has just released an album celebrating the 20th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. Here is the main website for Sonic Stadium. http://www.sonicstadium.org/ And here is the website for the official release of the album. http://projects.sonicstadium.org/music-album-2011/ This is an awesome album, with 45 tracks from various community members. Video Games include Sonic the Hedgehog (8 and 6 bit), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16 bit) Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles, Sonic Adventures, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic '06, Sonic Advance, and a plethora of other Sonic games. There are even some original interpretations of Sonic music, and some songs are arranged in the Sonic Generations Classic and Modern styles. The range is large enough to potentially incorporate some songs to your liking. Yet there are certain songs with lackluster audio quality. Nevertheless, you should listen to these with an open mind. The album consists of 4 discs with 11 tracks each. The final disc has 12 tracks. The first song is The Blue Blur - Title Screen, which is a combination of all title screens from the Genesis era Sonic games. The final song is Remnant of Time [sonic Boom], which is, by its name, a remix of Sonic Boom. Notable songs include: Endless Mine (1000 Miles), a mash up of Endless Mine and 1000 miles The Boss (Genesis) Underground Zone [Generations Modern Style] The Mountain Full of Ice [ice Mountain Zone Act 1] Sanctuary's Precipice [Hidden Palace] Building the Empire [scrap Brain] And so much more!!! Check it out, download it, and discuss it here!!! BTW: This is my first thread, so excuse me for this long thread. Please don't dissect me and feed my decaying carcass to EggRobos.
  4. Well, I'll give a playlist of songs for you, OCR songs. Albums included?
  5. Does the music necessarily need to be OCRemix? or could it be any piece of video game music? If so, I got a vast library of music you could potentially use.
  6. So I gave it a listen. I wanted to be open-minded, so this is the first non-video game album I've downloaded, so I am not used to it. It's good, I love the style and the diversity, but I am hesitant to accept it because of my relative inexperience in this type of music. I definitely approve though. One of more favorite pieces is Ocean Riff
  7. DO IT!!!! As a fan, I would love you guys forever. Although I don't have any musical talents, I will follow you guys all the way!
  8. I'm gonna download it and give it a listen. I'll repost to let you know if I'm impressed or disappointed
  9. By old games what do you mean? cause i noticed red marks on games older then 2004...
  10. They release concept art of Badniks every Friday at the Sonic the Hedgehog Facebook page up until the release of Episode II. Seems like they've worked on this game for quite some time, and they haven't released any videos, building up the hype and suspense.
  11. I now know what Solipsism is. I also just reconfirmed my beliefs that music and video games does have philosophical value to it. Two birds, one stone. Thanks melody for this amazing piece.
  12. Congrats DJ Mokram!!! 6 Votes is decent. I'm glad to see 4 participants, though!
  13. I really like this interpretation of Syrup's Theme. Sounds like a nonchalant meeting with a person, which is basically what Syrup is in the game. It kinda reminds me of Batreaux's house.
  14. I've seen this video before. I decide to come to this forum and warn everybody about it. They tell me not to worry because they are not coming after us. But this is SERIOUS MONKEY BUSINESS (no pun "intended").
  15. When in history did music trend to vocal tracks instead of non-vocal tracks? I want to be open-minded about vocal tracks, but with the recent trend to cheesy love songs, I can't help but feel pity. I do listen to vocal music, though. Like Crush 40 (for VGMs) and Linkin Park, but Linkin Park has been on a decline, whereas Crush 40 has steadily been getting better (For instance, compare "Open Your Heart" with "Knight of the Wind"). Music used to be about empowerment, like how the slaves used it to communicate with each other prior to the American Civil War. But now it is truly going down a path where it loses all meaning to superficial and shallow traits like the acquirement of money and other material wealth. Don't even let me get started on Love songs. I abandoned love songs because it was generally becoming repetitive and lacked innovation. In fact, there is now a blurry line between lust and love in the topic of love songs, and corporations are feeding that line by promoting the ambiguity between love and lust.
  16. In all honesty, I truly despise the mainstream music of today. It lacks any real message or meaning behind it. Music has now become more about making money and keeping people preoccupied then it is about spreading the word about peace, happenings, or life stories. Video Game Music is nothing like that, which is why I listen to it. Remixes of VGMs are also reinterpretations of famous works by fans who truly care about the piece they are working with. That intimacy between man and music is what truly makes music shine, and it has been lackluster in contemporary music. I will always listen to Video Game Music, Classical Music, and OCRemixes. I will never listen to mainstream music (unless it just happens to be playing).
  17. You do have a point. I've been rambling on about this whole Megaupload dilemma that I forgot that not everything was copyrighted material. Nevertheless, the government seizure of megaupload and subsequent acquiring of all that information is absolutely deplorable, and it must not be used to destroy the lives of American citizens.
  18. Let me reiterate this. The government has direct access to the IP address of every computer that has ever downloaded anything from Megaupload. Meaning that it not only has access to all the illegal downloading you have done at Megaupload, but also the illegal downloading of any and all other sites you have done on that computer. If the government so wanted to,your life could considered financially forfeit (considering you are not rich, or have never downloaded from Megaupload). I'm not trying to instill fear into anybody. However, people need to realize that the implications of this is severe. Why should we be individually fined for this if we are not important? However, if you do move onto your life, become important, and a potential threat to the government and corporations, you not only have NDAA to worry about, but also a clean internet record as well. Whether anybody likes it or not, we live in a world were we ARE being watched, and our destinies are controlled in order to prevent any potential threats from arising.
  19. We stop SOPA, and guess what. We've landed in some deeper feces. With the recent seizure of megaupload.com, the govenrment has access to the information of hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of people, American citizen or not. Just by downloading or uploading stuff from/to this website, you can be fined $150,000 per copyright violation, or be incriminated, possibly indefinitely. This is a much more serioius problem, because how many of us has downloaded from Megaupload?
  20. I watch The Young Turks. Even though they are on Current TV. They have been an independent news media, covering important subjects like corporatism, etc. and other topics for the lulz. They are a great source to go to, especially in Youtube.
  21. I'm watching Clannad with a friend. Great plot and character development, the dub is decent, the animation is great. I'll recommend it for somebody that wants quality anime. Oh, and Dangos
  22. Ice Mountain Act 1 was definitely my favorite track from Sonic Advance, so I was extremely happy to find a remix to it on my favorite fan website. This song is so soothing, and it fits the winter environment of Rochester, NY at the moment
  23. Happy Birthday Hylian Lemon!!! I'm a huge fan of your work with Essence of Lime, and I can't wait to download your work with Oracle of Seasons. Anyways, enjoy your 21st birthday!!!!

  24. I needed one of these posts. So on my iTunes, I always play all of my songs on iTunes DJ, and only a select few songs every get repeated by myself personally. Here is the list of all songs that made it to the top 25 playlist on my iTunes: Shades of Red (Pallet Town)-halc (29) Facies Templum (Face Shrine)-prophetik [28] Rock The Asphalt (Opening Demo)-Jivemaster (24) [Now there's an oldie] R U Overdrive (Ryu's Stage)-AkumajoBelmont, BrainCells (19) [Now here's another oldie from the same soundtrack] Ancient Hero (The Legendary Hero)-Darkesword (19) [This ain't an oldie; it's a classic!!!] My Friend Mudkip (Dewford Town, Surfing)-halc (19) Mind you, my iTunes is relatively new, so these song counts are relatively new as well. Otherwise I would have more songs from the "Summoning of Spirits" soundtrack, and more plays then 29. This is the play count for the top 6 non-album songs, downloaded directly from OCRemix: Magic Fountain (Fairy Fountain)-Nixdorux (19) Secret Seashells (Mabe Village, etc.)-Miku (16) [Another Classic] Abandoned Battlefield (Pokemon Gym)-pu_freak (16) Waking the Fish (Ballad of the Wind Fish)-WillRock (15) Cross Examination(Sudden Interjection) [Objection 2001]-PrototypeRaptor (14) Rime of the Wanderin' Seafarer (Dragon Roost Island)-zyko (14) You know, after reviewing this list, I realize that I'm not giving OCRemix enough love:dstrbd: then again, all songs are played from iTunes DJ so...
  25. I already voted for some games, but Pokemon Black and White came after I voted. Can I vote for that game as well, or has my voting privileges been expired?
