  1. Is there anyway to get this for the PC?!? =/
  2. Orichalcon,

I recently received an email regarding a real competition for song writing through an orchestral/theme band called Globus, based on immediate music pieces. I have the email and could send you the info to post on the the competition forum. I'm not able to do it myself, but the talent of the artists here, there will probably be someone interested.

    Thanks, Lon

  3. wow... I know now that every time i see your name for a remix, it has to be amazing and you never let me down. I can crank your mixes any day around anyone i know and everyone will enjoy it, this track is definitely no exception. Thanks for your great contribution over the years!
  4. Personally, i've come to enjoy foreign languages in songs, esp. Asian. It adds so much flavor to a song that it brings more out of it than w/o. This specific piece is very well executed and I definitely enjoy listening to it. You have one great voice and for someone who'll never even understand Chinese(mandarin), I wanted to encourage you about using vocals in other languages. I think that's what makes OCR so unique, the ability of artists to step outside of their comfort zone and make something truly special. Great job!
  5. If anyone is wondering what the heck it actually says in English, here's the translation! "Kom kom kom, Medan som-som-sommaren ännu hänger sig kvar, Medan natten ännu är ljum, Och vår längtan lockar och drar, Kom kom kom, Det finns dom dom dom som ser chansen glida förbi, Ta min hand så gör vi allt det som dom låter bli" Come, come, come, when the sum-sum-summer is still (hänger -> hanging...sounds awkward to use in direct translation)here. While the night is still young(ljum doesnt mean young, but still close to the same meaning), and our longing sticks and drags.(Swedish word choice and poetic language sounds weird in English, but that's okay, it's a translation after all.) Come, come, come, there is those those those that see the chance gliding bye, Take my hand so we can do all that they did not. Hopefully that helps those who are curious! (from a Swedish-American) -Loning
  6. I think you replied to the wrong person, lol. I don't know much about Swollen either! :) I think it was the post below mine.

  7. As always, i've come to enjoy every new mix by Blind. Keep up the great trance mixes!
  8. This is a very cool and different remix than anything i've heard on here. I enjoyed it and I definitely want to encourage you to continue on this route and make some more in the similar genre!
  9. Sweet mix!! I could definitely see myself listening to this while in fights playing FF IV! It's very upbeat.
  10. Critiques is essentially opinions. It really boils down to persuasion. As in, who has the best argument, best sources of information, etc. No one is necessarily right, given this argument for example, a teacher isn't necessarily right. If you look at the academic world, professors are very good at critiquing other professors on papers and research and they are in return critiqued on their response. This actually strengthens papers and builds knowledge. (and yes, it can be a repetitive cycle)
  11. As a fan of Lord of the Realms II and PC games, i enjoy listening to a remix that actually does a great job to help me 'relive' the moments I had in my childhood playing this game. I don't see many faults in this mix and you have done an amazing job to bring out the best in this game.
  12. This piece is literally one of the most amazing remixes I have ever heard. I think i've listened to this song too many times and it has lost some of its greatness over time, but I can still come back to it at any point in time and relive the wonderful arrangement that the both of you have put together. I think that there aren't anymore Ogre Battle remixes on this site for a reason...it's impossible to live up to the expectations that this remix has set the bar for.
  13. Amazing work on this piece from FFVII. I love the use of the electric guitar to literally 'tear up' the original. Very well remixed!
  14. This remix is so great that it is highly enjoyable...even by my girlfriend! (trying to get her into OCR). It is a pretty laid back song and I really love the beat! Similar in funkyness to DHS' Human Race remix. Great work and keep it up!
  15. Great collab effort to relive this very well known song. I've heard all the versions of this song remixed and I have to say that this one is in the top two. The guitar part at the end was very well done and created and ending that was magnificent. The only thing though, that i wish was better was the building of the climax. It could have been a litter longer and flowed a little smoother. Overall, this song ranks very high.
  16. I think what Shariq said sums it up completely. I haven't heard a remix this amazing that can put together two songs into one and have it sounds this amazing. It tops my list of rock remixes for sure!
  17. wow... My jaw dropped to the floor as I heard this remix. Amazing work!! I love it, it's very well done. Do more collabs, imo!
  18. Great remix!! I've come to enjoy your remixes as they are amazing to listen too! This one still tops my list of top OCRemixes and I doubt it'll leave anytime soon. The best part is when you slow it down a few minutes in and pick it up back up. Very well done. Keep up the amazing work.
  19. I love this remix! It has a groovy, funky feel to it that i could put on while driving in my car. It's different and original. Very, very well done!
  20. This mix is very slow in the beginning. It has a mellow feel to it though, and this pick up a tad around a couple minutes. Not my favorite remix but a well thought out idea. I would just recommend a shorter intro that picks up faster. Otherwise, great job!
  21. When i first joined OCR back in 2002, i told myself i would not download any remixes with lyrics. I wanted pure instrumental pieces to listen too. It took me a bit to finally change. Destiny and pixietricks helped to show how remixes can be amazing with vocals. It was a lesson that i was happy to learn as i would not have given this piece a fair chance. Amazing voice, i love how you made it fit with the song and also how it sounds very original. Reminds me of Blackmore's Night!
  22. I'm a sucker for orchestral arrangements and this one is definitely an amazing piece!! It's very inspirational and brings out the original very well! Truly magnificent, one of the few great pieces since Jeremy Soule's FFVI remix. Keep it up. I'll be looking forward to more of your remixes that i'll hope to see in the future!
  23. Truly magnificent! I do not think i've yet to hear a remix by you that can top this one! Amazing work on creating a masterpiece that focuses on orchestral arrangements that brings out the life of the original. I actually used this for my music appreciation class in college a few years back to turn in for a certain beat. This fit in perfectly! Great work and I salute your efforts to bring this type of music to those who love to hear these mixes! -Lon
  24. I've been listening to music on this site for well over six years. I always come back to this remix. This song is very strong in portraying an image that is very powerful. It digs deep into your soul and forces you to remember the past and the images of war and power struggles. The dark theme helps to pull images from the game itself and also from our the history as it brings this piece to a vivid imagination that ties it to death and horror. The strength that this remix puts forth is what makes it a masterpiece, a wonderful piece of artwork in the realm of music. Great work Mazedude!
  25. I love this remix. It starts off slow and its flow is easy to get into and very mellow. As the guitar is added with the change of pace and switch of instruments, it really delivers an amazing feel that takes in music of the game and your own touches. Very great remix and one of the best on the site!
