It's not hate. It's disappointment in a long series of terrible decisions. Nintendo is not the underdog. They've never been the underdog. They're not being bullied. Supporting them for no reason other than to support them is just sending them a message that what they're doing right now is ok, and it's not.

I never knew why Daft Punk was popular and I went into this album expecting to not like it at all, and for it to be a bunch of basic loops with vocals on them, like Get Lucky was. But after listening to the album (my first introduction to Daft P) it's actually really good. I still don't understand why it's popular. But I think the fact that I enjoy it after going in wanting to hate it just demonstrates how strong of an album and how well made it is. If anyone disagrees with that, they jelly.

Eh the complaint is about eShop prices in general. Nobody seems to be giving any incentive to buy anything apart from the 32 cent games. And even then all we've got left is Yoshi and Donkey Kong. Blah. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Steam but I feel that the online marketplace has evolved.

Because it's old and like I said, you can get it cheaper both from online retailers and used. People would be more likely to spring for a used game than pay an unfair price. Quality is irrelevant.

Hah, I feel like the realism conversation has already happened on this forum.... But no,... The characters are humanoids (not humans, because humans can't use magic)... It's pretty much just "realistic" in the sense that things look like what we're used to. And that's probably a smart way to design things. Speaking of designing things, as much as I'm disappointed that they didn't really go above and beyond with the remaster, I am excited to play this game again. There's still no real release date. Just December 31st, 2013... which usually means TBA but within the year, unless they're REALLY planning on releasing that day, which is odd. I made this thread in September 2011. Holy damn.

I would say they have gotten better. But I mean when you're working from a source that is basically polygons it would be HARD to make it worse. And Cloud is effeminate? He IS incredibly emo. But... what do you want, an Americanized version? Don't forget what region this is coming from! You should be happy he hasn't been made a chibi cloud by now. vs

I know. I said something like SotD or a new game by Suda51. But it was really an example. An example of something that will NEVER HAPPEN. That being EA publishing an interesting game from a quirky developer on the Wii U. Yeah, a lot of things have disappointing sales lately, eh? I for one, think Shadows of the Damned is great. I think it needed better marketing. I was specifically thinking of New Super Mario Bros U which is (or was, I haven't checked) $60.

Something new by an interesting developer like Shadows of the Damned, or something new from Suda51 They try to sell the digital versions of games for $60, or full retail, while online stores move the price down consistently. Not like Steam, but considerably lower than full retail. They gotta catch up.

EA not making games for Wii U is a big deal. Wii U needs all the new games it can get, and not just 3rd party ports, which is what 90% of the Wii U library is... that, and shovelware already. :-/ I got a Wii U because it actually is an amazing system, and it has a lot of potential, but it is not getting the software OR the support to back it up or put it to use. It's good that I can play Wii games on it (even if they don't look better!) but they should have waited to launch the console until they had some games done for it. Like that new Zelda they showed off, or even the Wind Waker remake. Why not have Pikmin 3 and all the stuff they're teasing right now ready for launch? Nothing on the latest Nintendo Direct was really appealing to me. Resident Evil is on PC. Wii U is a good system and has potential but it has no support, and losing EA and other third party developers is not helping. You can all say "blah blah ea sucks blah look at me i'm cool too" but EA strives on the console. They suck on PC. And they're probably one of the only developers who would have really brought something innovative to a Nintendo console... not anymore. It's sad.

I feel that personalized birthdays are more special than just posting a birthday thread for everybody, even if you don't know them. So I'm certainly not joining the postcount++ game, but if a friend has a birthday and there's no thread, I got no problem making one. If you guys could, please write a paragraph like the ones you see in the private subforum thread which I don't think I can link here but it's easy to find. Also if you noticed the back cover art in the Artwork thread (private subforum) you'll notice it doesn't say "Directed by Brandon Strader", it says "Directed by OC ReMix Community Members". These short paragraphs you write for the About page are important for that. They're taking the place of any directors comments. It's going to be really nice. Thank you for putting in the extra time, guys!

A big ol' fancy birthday to a strong pillar of the vgm community, Doug "Ramaniscence" Arley. Back in the day, your Green Greens remix was incredibly inspiring to me, I remember burning it on a CD along with some other stuff. You're probably part of why I am still here today. Thanks for all your great service to OCR, ThaSauce, VGMix, and just generally being an awesome person.
