I was playing Doom 95, maybe that's why. There he shows up after every level just like Duke does in DN3D. That thing about Toad - if there are more cases where we have links to a wikipedia list of characters, why not use anchors there as well? Or are you saying there are multiple anchors for each character? In the end I guess what really matters is whether the bio writer used the whole list article or only the anchored section as his source, but if the lists are a fancy new thing and the bios where written when the characters all had their own article, I'm still ok with using anchors. Then again, the articles themselves have contents boxes on top, so anyone who wants to read up on, say, toad, specifically, can just click their way there. *sigh* Ok... I guess we can remove the anchor.

I guess that solves it all.

.nu is some small group of Islands somewhere in the Pacific, I think. We Swedes use it because "nu" means "now" in Swedish. So for example www.lagamat.nu would be the same thing as www.cook.now if the .now domain existed. It's a lot more fun than .com or .se (if you're Swedish). By now most of the island group's economy is based on Swedish royalty money (for using their domain for our websites). The server I use is located in Florida though, and is pretty reliable. You could also try the info.se if you want to be independent of me (info.se is easier to remember than ngst.nu anyway). I'll help you through the setup process (which is in Swedish).

Try www.tinyurl.com, or I could set you up with a subdomain on mine (i.e. http://supremespleen.ngst.nu), or at info.se (i.e. http://supremespleen.info.se). There's also http://www.freedomain.co.nr/, which only requires you to add a tiny little ad (like this)on top of your page, and then you can get i.e. http://supremespleen.co.nr.

Sent a reply. Sorry if I sound harsh in it, no hard feelings intented or felt.

Changed it for "the grin on his face when he picks up ammo" (without the italics, naturally). I chose to leave out "weapons" to facilitate reading. No reason to get über-accurate here, it's not like anyone is going to tell us "he grins when he picks up weapons too!" There's an anchor for toad in that article, so I edited the link to point there instead. "code name" gets 10 million hits on google - "codename" only gets 2 million - but Wikipedia redirects "codename" to "code name". Did you want me to change "codename" for "code name"? I guess alphabetical goes before chronological order within the same system? Now we have 1999, 1999, 1998, 1999, 1997, 1999, 2000...Good points, all of them. Just help me with these last questions and then I'll send it.

Forwarded the same message to you.

Yeah, but it's odd, don't you think, that the screen saver doesn't start? I've also tried activating power saving functions but they don't have any effect either.

Hi EDIT: Winamp issue was because one of my speakers were dead, nothing wrong with winamp, apparently. The below issue remains, however: Since I got my flatron monitor, my computer no longer activates the screen saver after the preset time, so I have to either leave it shining or I have to turn the power off when I go. Any workarounds?

LOL, I'm sorry for being an idiot, JJT, but that last post might actually be just what I needed to hear. This is going to take a long time though. Thanks for your help!

You said it. I agree my song could be better, that rejecting it was the right thing to do, and that it's not quite up to schnucks, but I don't know how to make it so. I can try pulling the levers and spinning the knobs, but it usually ends up being worse rather than better.
-
You're right, of course. The main problem here is I suck.
-
They had other complaints as well.

Think so? The reason I haven't done anything about it is I didn't know what was wrong with it in the first place. I'll try bass boosting it as you suggested.

Cool stuff, AeroZ. I'll put you on the list.

What's wrong about itunes anyway? I mean, I wouldn't want it, but I also wouldn't want an imac.

I'm past that post, sorry about that. Right now I just need help.
-
Ok, this is what I had after poking around a little with compressors. I think it sounds worse now. I suck. Can anyone help me? http://www.ngst.nu/rcproam_resub.mp3

RushJet1 is good, too. I think remixing this particular song is a little beyond my skills.

Sorry about the Doom Trooper, I completely forgot. Thanks, Polo, I'll be making the edits and then send the file to LT.

Corneria Spaceport (Hypothetical Starfox cutscene)
Dafydd replied to Nutritious's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Pretty awesome. -
Yeah... ask Overcoat.

Not sure I like the fast notes in the bassline. Also, sometimes it feels like some of the parts just go silent very abruptly. Other than that, it's pretty nice, until about 1:00 and on where you're just going too fast for the instrument to keep up in a credible way. Can't say what this would be like if played live.

Couldn't there be a comprehensive requests list or something? One that everyone can see, complete with ratings (how many people have requested each particular song)? That would be sweet. Someone would have to administer it, though. Also... good luck getting your GE007 songs remixed.
