  1. I think I might be able to. But I need to hear the song you named "New Super Mario Bros Overworld" first. Or ask Overcoat, he's good.
  2. Geoffrey Taucer plays pipes, maybe he can help you.
  3. Sending the following to LT on your go, Polo. All clear? http://www.ngst.nu/OCR_Mascot_Bio_Edits_1-10.txt
  4. Are polls a thing of the past, or am I just too dumb to find them/not cool enough to be allowed to start them?
  5. Ah yes, thank you. I'm on it. The 4 image limit shouldn't include smilies. That's rather a coding mistake, don't you think? I'll make the edits you've suggested (if I approve of them ), since Lin apparently won't be around to do it. EDIT: Do we actually need a progress report? Or guidelines? I mean, are any of the bios not written yet? Look at the first post now and tell me if you think anything is missing.
  6. If anyone asks, you're the one who should have the coordinator badge once this is finished, I think. Unless you can get a custom "über contributor" badge instead. Amazing work, Polo. LT said there'd be changes since I submitted the 10 first, so I'll send him fresh versions (updated links) and see if that works any better. I agree we should switch all the curly quotations for straight ones. I mentioned Vimm's lair a while back... on page... er... 20 something, maybe...?
  7. http://www.ngst.nu/test2.exe I made that in MMF2 in a couple of hours. I know it sucks, but hey, think of the possibilities. I played knytt just now, btw, and man, it rocks. It's like Super Metroid and Samorost combined. Sort of.
  8. Larry is becoming power-hungry, methinks.
  9. Sorry, didn't realize it was capable of making spcs (thought it was just an xm tracker). Famitracker does MIDI just fine, btw. If you're having issues, they're on your end. EDIT: Wow, I totally don't get XMSNES. Whoever made it seems to take for granted that I know how SPC's actually work. Sheesh. Won't get far with that. Anyway, I still haven't found a tracker I like. Though I guess modplug tracker is alright.
  10. Hey, I actually like your voice. It sounds like something I've heard before... not a rock voice, more the kind you'd hear in political punk music. The guitar is killing me though.
  11. Are you actually doing these changes or just listing them? The first 10 bios I sent to LT (who still hasn't replied, btw), I edited myself based on your suggestions. Plus I made some small, additional edits myself. We'd be wasting time by having 2 people applying the same changes
  12. Is there an SPC tracker out there, or a way to convert mods into SPCs? BTW, I just got MadTracker and it totally sucks. I really preferred Famitracker over it. Is there a mod tracker that works more like Famitracker does?
  13. A raven from Battletoads & Double Dragon: LT: Just not feeling the sprite.
  14. I still don't recognize the source in anything by Children of the Monkey Machine. Whether a source is recognizable or not isn't my call, however - it's the judges'. If they recognize the source, well, I guess that's good enough.
  15. I'd like this to be changed for "If they should be mentioned in the submission writeup instead, please indicate that in the submission e-mail." There's a really good song in the Mega Man: Wily's Revenge gbs that doesn't play anywhere in the game - but it's in the game data, on the actual game cartridge - like the notorious hot coffee mod. What's the verdict on material such as this? What if we, later on, realize that a well-known song from a well-known game, covered in an OCremix, is actually not an original song for the game, but rather, a folk song? Will the rules be updated or will the remix be removed? Sentence does not feel professional. Removing "completely" would help, but then it would sound like original material isn't welcome. I think these two bullets should be replaced by a sentence or two that explains that original material is welcome, but that anyone who knows the source material should be able to tell that the remix is a remix of that source song without being told beforehand that the remix is in fact a remix of that song.
  16. Argh @ filesize. I think you'd have more people listening to this if it didn't take ages to download. 320kbps doesn't make up for terrible general midi samples and an out of tune guitar. The sax solo is pretty cool, I guess, but that's all the nice things I have to say about this. EDIT: Is this is an OLRemix? If so, kudos for the horrible voice acting at the end (though it's not you speaking).
  17. I definitely think an electric guitar would work well with the piano here. Seeing how it's not exactly playing a straight tempo, however, I'd advise against drums. If you're feeling epic, some strings might work, too, or maybe just some pads. But go ahead and add an electric guitar or two, and a bass. I think a saxophone or oboe would ruin it, and acoustic guitars wouldn't really work, either. I think.
  18. In 10 years, when the other projects are finished - sure!
  19. I thought changing the first sentence into what you suggested made it a little boring. I think I'll stick with what's there. I added the changes you suggested to the other 9 of the first 10 and sent them to Liontamer along with questions on who will be adding the bios to the wiki and if there is any chance it could be one of us - LT has enough to do already and it'd be cool to be able to fix errors directly instead of through him.
  20. Changed the Doom Trooper bio a little:
  21. http://www.ocremix.org/game/megaman4/ There's the soundtrack... click the "chiptune" link. There are no deadlines. This project is on hold. You're still free to join it, however.
  22. Once again I sincerely apologize for being such a lousy project leader during these last.. er... 6 months or so (more?). I'm currently in the middle of moving so I still have my computer in a box. Give me another few days to look through the new edits. I cannot thank you enough for what you've done for this project - the three of you have each contributed much more than I have. Again, I'll be back in a few days, and am sorry for always being thus.
  23. Yeah... it's still free, as far as I know. Go ahead and take it.
