  1. Well, since everybody's stating their opinions like gospel, I'll toss in a dissenting view. I hated the soundtrack in F-Zero X. I like some rock but the stuff in X sounded extremely generic..or something. I really liked the music in GX, especially all the character themes which varied widely in genre and were often wonderfully, purposefully cheesy. I wouldn't be adverse to a rock themed soundtrack for the next F-Zero, but this time I hope the mucisians know how to play.
  2. Well, I'll be buying it simply because I enjoy the spectacle.
  3. I got a better question. If Jigglypuff is back for Brawl, what would its final Smash attack be?
  4. I always conjure up voices for "text only" characters and for me, Ben Stein is the voice of Malo.
  5. Somebody who wants to Emphasize the word.
  6. Well, long story short, I'm brand new to breeding, never done it before. Is there a method to breeding a particular Nature? I'm trying to get an Adamant Lucario and presently I'm up to my eyeballs in Riolu but not an Adamant one in the bunch. For future notice, if anyone wants Riolu, I'd be happy to trade when I get my wireless network working.
  7. I recommend forgetting about Monkeyball. I rented Banana Blitz and the picky controls + spazzy camera made it decidedly unfun. If you want a great roll-maze game I strongly recommend checking out Kororinpa Marble Mania. For something in the same vein but quite different in play you should also check out Mercury Meltdown Revolution.
  8. If I remember correctly, there's always a Wayward Chocobo outside the mines. No need for greens to ride it. Just go out and take a look to see if one's there after you duck into the mines.
  9. I already have a Wi-fi router. I just can't use it right now. I'm looking for an alternative fix for the time being. I'll look into the LAN adapter option.
  10. Here's a question about the DS/Wii Wi-fi dongle. I have a bit of an Ethernet issue with my computer and because of it, I can't hook up my wireless network until I get it fixed. In the meantime I thought about buying the Nintendo thingummy and took a look at one today. The thing is, it only stated Windows XP compatibility on the packaging and my decrepit old rig still runs Windows 2000 Professional. Will it work with my computer or not? BTW, don't bother telling me to upgrade, I will when I can afford to, my computer needs major work. PS: I guess it wasn't already obvious so I'll state it plainly. I already have a wireless router that works just fine, but until my computer sees some repairs, I can't make use of it.
  11. Which would possibly be why Nintendo bought them. Nintendo has strong opinions on what games should be but I don't believe they have a record of forcing their philosophy on other developers. They'd pick up studios like Monolith to diversify their own portfolio, so to speak.
  12. Poor me. I don't multi-task my games so first I must finish Paper Mario. Then I must have my computer repaired so I can get my wi-fi running. I fear I'll be way behind the poke-curve by the time I finally get online.
  13. Wow, I wouldn't say I've seen a whole lot of anime but I recognized Jotaro right away. Go me! I saw whichever series had Iggy in it. Interesting show, lots of action.
  14. It was fun...right up until it became a fetish flick. Then my interest went to zero. What a waste of excellent animation.
  15. Whoops, I thought Forty-second had posted the bid but it was only PMed. Tonight's update will fix that.
  16. Way ahead of you, or at least I would have been if my carefully typed post hadn't crashed, thus causing me to leave my computer in disgust about an hour ago.
  17. There's always one in a crowd, or should I say a "multitude" of people?
  18. Well, I enjoyed it. I've played every Star Fox game (that saw official release) and the stylus control did not detract from the experience for me. It worked like a charm. What sort of "rough things" have you heard? Maybe I can smooth them out.

  20. I have to agree with everything said here. The Golden Sun RPGs aren't bad games, but they aren't spectacular either. I put them a bit above average. They tend to drag, especially when there's dialog. The games are also pretty tedious to play through since there's little of interest going on.
  21. Well, without knowing what sorts of games you're into, all I can do list what I own. I certainly recommend all of them. Scurge: Hive - This is as close as you can get to a Metroid game (specifically Fusion) without it actually being Metroid. However, instead of a sidescroller it's a top down 3/4th view. Lot's of frantic action; a meaty game that's solidly designed. Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2 - This is a very simple and quite fun RPG. It's pretty light-hearted and has some goofy dialog, but it's quite fun. The combat is real time rather than menu based. I don't recommend the first Summon Night though, just the sequel, mainly because the second game drastically improves everything in the first one. Drill Dozer - This is a puzzle platformer. It's unique and hard to compare to other games, but if you've ever played and enjoyed any of the Klonoa games, you'd probably like Drill Dozer. *Metroid Zero Mission and *Metroid Fusion - These are definitive Metroid games and more or less on par with Super Metroid. If you've never played a Metroid game, it's a sidescroller with platforming, shooting action, and lots of exploration. These are some of the best games on the GBA. Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and *Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow - These are the first and 3rd Castlevanias to be released on the GBA (I honestly didn't care for the second one). These both follow in the footsteps of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Circle of the Moon to a lesser extent). They play a lot like Metroid, though combat is based more on melee weapons than projectiles. *Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - This is a Mario RPG, so it's a lot more action oriented than tradition RPGs are. It's simple and lot of fun. Another top tier GBA game. Mario VS Donkey Kong - This is more of a puzzle game than an action game. It's a pinch of classic Mario and a dash of Lemmings. Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land - It's a Kirby game, so it consists of simple platforming. It's pretty easy but quite fun and a great game to just pick up and blow a little time on without needing to get really involved. Legend of Zelda: The Minnish Cap - This is a pretty good Zelda game. If you've never played Zelda, this series pretty much defined the fantasy Action Adventure genre. Edit: I put stars next to my top most recommendations. Of course, if money is tight you hardly need to buy everything at once.
  22. Drawing from Rotten Tomatoes, TMNT currently scores a mere 29%. One might think that bodes ill for this film but let's put things into perspective here. The original Live action movie scored in total a 36% Turtles 2 scored only a 20% Turtles 3 scored a 29% As far as the critic consensus collected on RT, TMNT is par for the course. So, anyone leery about seeing this film due to what the critics have to say, realize, they didn't like the original films either, and those are much beloved by fans. I plan to catch TMNT this weekend and I'll post my own critique afterwards.
  23. So, if I made a videogame and sold it, it's not art. But if I gave that game away it would suddenly become art? Does that mean all those free flash games you find on the web are art but not games meant for sale? That's some pretty flawed thinking there.
  24. Was it Sonic's maneuverability that was killing it for you? Sonic starts the game moving like a semi truck with 3 flats, but by the end of the game (with the right skills turned on) he moves like a precision sports car. Honestly, that's how he should have started out but once he's properly upgraded, the tilt controls were spot on. Edit: Also, Secret Rings makes no use of the sensor bar. Only games that use the pointer/position function need the sensor bar. Actually, the sensor bar doesn't sense anything it just emits IR that the remote uses to calculate it's relative position in space. But again, Secret Rings makes no use of this function.
  25. Well, it's interpretive. Good or Great can be translated to how to feel about the game, thus, your enjoyment. I wasn't really trying to defeat your specific point, your statement simply lead me to mine in an associative manner. I shouldn't have started the statement as though I was addressing you, though, and I've gone back and edited it.
