Flurry of Flames

I really like this! Especially the dual guitars part at 345ish. Chill is very apt in this remix and it works really well. I'll echo off Voex and say more panning would definitely improve this a lot considering the amount of atmospheric tones in the piece. It will also make it seem more vast which for this piece would be really good. I also wanted to ask what kind of drums you were using, as you could get a bit more variance on them especially the snare, but that might be my ears might be not that great yet at hearing this yet so it might be me. Otherwise I love the track!

Wanted to share here one of my work. It isn't supposed to become an OCR thing, but just wanted to share it with you, as i think it's one of my "best" work so far.
Even if i'm still a noob with synth and i still have a lot to learn about mixing.
But anyway, here it is, any kind of feedbacks, even harsh ones are welcome, as my goal is to keep on improving =)
 

Nice idea. It is pretty barebones, and the rhythm gets kinda dull. The accompaniment would depend on what kind of style you want it to be, but I'd say at least some guitar.

It's quite repetitive, but never annoyingly so, and with that I think half the battle is already won, so nice job on the arrangement! There are a lot of issues with your instrument/sample quality though, which maybe you're already aware of.
Two things jump to my ear first: Your snare drum has a washy, newspaper-y kind of reverb tail to it that should be dialed down/removed, or perhaps you could use a different snare altogether. It sounds like it was recorded with a phone or something, haha. No offense! It just sounds distracting. Your kick drum is also very thin, but if you're going with a large room, jazz kinda thing, maybe that's not a big deal. 
The other is that, even with a second piano playing chords, drums, and bass guitar, the lead piano is still way louder in the mix during the fast parts, despite the fact that's only playing one note at a time. It makes for a fake sounding kind of balance in your instruments, which sometimes is neither here nor there, because hey, it's art, but in this case I really think the "rhythm" piano could have more prominence in the mix, because there's some harmonies happening in there that I'd like to hear more.
Also, the levels drop around 1:40, which sounds odd, because the last few chords are still played pretty hard. A piano is a very percussive instrument, what with all those tiny hammers in there, and as such, one can really be expressive with dynamic range. Maybe you'll want to just play softer/lower your velocities to get that real dynamic feel, rather than just turning down the volume?
On the positive side, like I said, the piano is simple but still melodic enough. I especially enjoy the interplay at 1:20. 

Improv based on a 5 second tune? Love it! Catchy, smooth, and easy to hear the source all the way through, even with some really fun interpretations! I was ready for the intro to set the tone for the whole piece, but I was pleasantly surprised by the more upbeat sections. I could handle listening to this while I punch in a password. Heck, probably would sit there for a while to hear it all the way through before I hit start. Nice woik!

Man this brought a smile on my face! I love the second half where you start to play around with everything pertaining to the track and just kind of go off on it. My favorite was at 3:05 where you have those violins adding flavor to the main theme. Thanks for making this!

My remake of "Traverse Town" from the PS2 game Kingdom Hearts. Just like my previous KH remake, I used the piano collections version as the base, and tried to add on from there.
Hope you enjoy it! Kingdom Hearts has a lot of great music in it, both upbeat and emotional. This one is probably my favorite upbeat tune.

Along with the guys above are saying, You might be able to do a lot of stuff via panning that could add another dimension to this piece. The big is what Saron was talking about is trying to put your own spin on it via the 2nd time it comes up. Can't wait to see what happens!
 

Thanks I'll try some stuff out at another time. I'm trying to make as many remixes as possible to get better than come back to them after a while when I get better.
 

Thanks Light_of_Aether for the feedback, and I'll try to implement some of the ideas you had. The problem is that I don't really have great plugins to work with and my skill via production is a lot to be desired as well, but I'll try and do something.
Yes that was one part of what I was talking about, the other part was how can it sound like a choir with one person as it would sound weird to me If I did all of the voices for the choir. It would sound like multiple recordings of the same guy instead of a choir. Am I thinking to much into this or would people be fine if it was the guy doing all the voices?

I think I know what you mean - you want the effect of a mixed choir, right? Not sure what the best way of going about this is, although as a first step you might try writing other harmony parts to fill in other frequencies.

Wow, this is a great foundation! At first I wasn't sure about the vocals, but by the end, I was amazed at how much the vocals make the song what it is. I second the pizzicato standing bass and saxophone. It definitely needs more instrumentation to flesh out the soundscape. Great saxophone samples can be hard to come by; maybe you could ask around on here for a saxophonist to collaborate with? XPRTNovice is great! Maybe he would be interested?

Thanks for the feedback! I'm using the basic FL Studio plugins except for addictive keys for the piano. Yeah I think I could use some layering on a couple of aspects and I do like the idea of adding an octave down in the beginning to give it more depth of phrase. I would like your opinion, do you have an idea of how to record a section multiple times with the same voice without it sounding like its the same voice in a way? This has been a project for a month on and off as a friend suggested that I should remix this track and see where it goes as we both love Pokemon Colosseum! I'm still very much a greenhorn when it comes to composition and production, and I'm still very happy with what I made and can't wait for people to listen to it.
I eventually want to be able to have remix up on OCR and would like feedback in terms of what I could do better on this remix, and others that will come after. I hope I can at least make someone's day with my music.

Before I uploaded the song to ThaSauce I removed the part with nothing. Also removed the first 5 seconds with nothing so now the song is 4 mins long @ThaSauce.
