I'm worried though, guys. With all the attention OCR's getting with all these ReMix Albums, it's only a matter of time until the corporations try to snap up our favorite community. Electronic Arts, in particular, has a nasty habit of buying up smaller companies... how long before they offer djpretzel an offer he can't refuse?!

Listen guys, I know the timing was terrible, releasing the trailer on April Fool's Day. But I happen to have it on good authority (my cousin's fiance, who works for the production company making this a reality) that this thing is for real. Obviously no major studio would ever try to make a video game movie after the total duds that were the Super Mario movie, Doom the movie, Tomb Raider, etc. However, that's why IGN is helping produce the film. It's really the first attempt by gamers to make a serious full-length motion picture about video games, for the fans of the game itself. Keep an eye on updates from IGN... this thing is gonna be pretty sweet.

GGs to IbanezNinja, who took a 3-1 victory. My Lucas outmatched his Olimar for the first match, but he then took the gloves off with Marth to defeat Lucas in matches 2 and 3. Finally, my switch to Toon Link didn't help me in the last match, with no less than 2 dair suicides. Good luck to everyone left in the tourney, see you guys next time.

Layton only lasts about ten hours. I guess there's another 15 minutes or so with the four or five "DLC" puzzles. I don't know enough about Days of Ruin to make a comparison, though.

Honest question: there's still a Competitions forum? Wow hey... didn't it use to be a subforum of Community? I must have missed the move to Workspace... which seems like an inappropriate location for vg competitions, as opposed to music comps.

These things usually work where you just work out a time with your opponent, during a couple-day period alloted by the tournament organizer. 'Least that's how OCRCL worked back when I participated a couple years back.

Ha, I didn't think you'd actually bother to sign up to join the tourney. Here's hoping we don't face off in the first round.

Yup. Most of the challenges are fun or going to be met eventually anyway... the only ones you'd want to skip, the really tough/tedious ones, are also the ones you can't crack with a hammer. EDIT: Oh, but, they are useful when you're first starting out, since you can use them to display two extra challenges that you need to meet.

So... while the matches I've played online are mostly lag-free, I think I've decided I can't play Ness or Lucas on the WFC. I've died one too many times trying to PK Thunder my way back onto the stage, due to lag. Does anyone play Ness/Lucas online? What do you guys think about that?
