  1. Quite the creative take on the game. I like how the movie theme was used sparingly. Quality is lacking. The drums dont ever get too involved. Still I really enjoy what was done here. Borderline... One must aspire to achieve beyond NSF-quality drums. NO
  2. AWESOME! Lovin this one. Great job. It aint too common to see well played guitar and nice improv. YES
  3. I didn't get any prompt like that. Well, I'm still getting this U+P thing. Oh well... someone wanna send?
  4. That rain sound effect really doesnt work. The guitar's programming could have been better. This remix experiences a lot of off key issues on the notation. This would be cool with better percussion and more attention to mastering. NO
  5. This is nearly exactly the same as the original. It loops alot and the percussion is WAY too quiet. Work on more lively percussion and variation. NO
  6. This is quite an interesting mix of some of the FF8 themes. Quality could be better, but the arrangement is rather well done. I'll have to get back to this one. EDIT: This song is lacking the low tones... It is also quite short. It never builds or goes anywhere. There is no real ending either. NO
  7. We already have one note-for-note version of this song on OC, we cant have two. Please try some variation on the theme, this is little more than the original with some simplistic drums on it and a few instrument changes. NO
  8. Interesting. This would have made it if, A. it was twice as long and more variant. B. Had better attention to sound quality, specifically in the way of reverb and mastering. NO
  9. Such a short song should repeat this much. More should happen within the song. Nothin great commin from the percussion. Standardized dance beat. Not much of an ending. Lots of phaser effects being used in this song. Work on Sound quality, more variation, and try not to repeat so much on short songs. NO
  10. I believe I heard this before.. long ago... The problem with this song is that it doesnt go anywhere. Its mostly repeating the main theme of Zero again and again. There is no variation. Everything stays the same as the original. The focus of this song appears to be weird percussionistic effects of the song. Work on more variation, better percussion. NO
  11. Yet another schala mix Octive base... Simplistic dance percussion. Follows the original's notation pretty much exactly. Looping now. The song never breaks. Its very constant and doesnt ever slow down or change. Just loops... and loops.... and loops.... Work on more variation for such a long mix. NO
  12. Extreme levels of off key notation. Please work on the melodic aspects of the remix. NO
  13. Exactly what vig said with the addition of.. No real attention to chords or anything musical. The chords never change etc. No real percussion. A bit later on... NO
  14. This is quite indeed similar to the original. Aside from the looping, and the shortness, I find the mix to be rather simplistic. No real percussive element, no accompany. Just the original. Work on greater expression of the song rather than just a rehash. NO
  15. The style is continuous. The drumfills are all the same. I would suggest more varried drum fills and perhaps a more intersting drum progression. This follows the original rather exactly. The bells have a bit of floody release. Notes never change, and finally, its only 2 minutes. Work on song length, change up the style perhaps, along with the beat and the melody. NO
  16. Well, I'm not gonna say that 'boring' is a bad thing, but I do see a severe lack of arrangement going on here. Its just the same notes over and over with basic chord changes. It starts to build towards the end, finally.. then dies.... then ... repeats... again. I expect more out of these kinds of arangements. NO
  17. Meh, i had this whole review... Stupid invalid session. Anyway, Repetitive, bassline indeed does not follow the chords very well. Cool beat, but it never changes much. The song keeps repeating. We have a lot of ice cap remixes on oc, Something new must be presented for this to pass. Work on melodic variation. NO
  18. Like dan says, there are some chord problems, more towards the end. The beat and baseline never seem to change. The vocals are usually off key from the rest of the song. Please try to do more with this cool original sound track. NO
  19. Not sure where my post went... I said a lot of good things. I would have done much more with this song as far as melody/background. Theres hissing. baaaaad and some other crud... YES
  20. This pretty much followed the original exactly. The dance beat is rather limited. The song doesnt really go anywhere. OC Remixes must go above and beyond. This fits rather squarely into the 'game music with a beat' stereotype NO
  21. Indeed this had promise, but it went nowhere. Just a sequence of long strings and some ambient guitars and thunder. The length is way too short. Please work on length and try to build this into something more. NO
  22. This song has a rather annoying underlying distortion that never seems to go away. There is a great deal of repeating going on.Perhaps a key change is in order somewhere? I would also vary the melody. Try some new angles on such a simple short song. Perhaps vary up the percussion? There some really sharp notes with the high monophonic synth. Also try for more time; this is rather short. This song doesnt go too far beyond the original. NO
  23. This follows the original pretty closely. The drum kick is so lound that it floods otu the melody completely with each hit. No clipping malcos. I'd like to see a song with such generic beats to go somewhere with melody at least, but this mostly just repeats. On a song thats been done so many times, something more must be presented. Off key issues with the monophonic synth lead. No real ending. NO
