  1. You will need to learn an instrument one way or another. Whether that be a sequencer or a piano, you'll still need to learn it.
  2. My studio is 100% legit... now. well, it has been legit for quite a while, but yes, I confess, I did use pirated software for quite a while. Only because I couldn't a) afford it or couldn't find a way to buy them.
  3. Look at my sig. Dancing Blue Boy, one. Look at this: Now mend the two together with a bouncing XELEBES in between them, also, background can fade between the blue and the yellow for a hella awesome green. Synchronise as best as you can.
  4. Warez I ripped off of Torrentspy: Alesis Ion Behringer Eurorack MX602A Samson CO1 Studio Condenser M-Audio Audiophile 2496 Loot I pillaged from HMS Nine-Oh-Nine: FruityLoops 6.0.8 SoundForge 5 Synth1 Panzertank PM4 Muon Tau Bassline ymVST
  5. Ones that we need: Delta Force symbol Number Munchers characters ET from Atari 2600 Clay Fighter characters Of course, since I don't have the capacity or patience to do anything in gif format, I'm leaving this to others to do it.
  6. Do not worry zirc, I've been in a similar rut myself.
  7. Well, I'm saying that we are not wholly aiming for cold-as-possible drums, but rather just simply dark. Warmth can be applied, especially when dealing with large booming drums (coldness makes them song repugnant.) And no, I wasn't refering to the specific mp3.
  8. The bit reducers and digital distortions are optional, however they don't get that warm fuzz to the beats that you might want.
  9. Amplifier simulator distortion for the kicks and maybe the snares. Another, less harsh amp simulator distorting the hi hats and the percussion. Put through a compressor. Some reverb before the compression might not hurt.
  10. To lighten up this thread from it's current introspective fluff, I bring you my new sig. Apart from that Argi, go right ahead.
  11. You are telling me you do not understand that term?
  12. I think you mean "the competition of other software suites is what I'm looking for" instead of "Steinberg's lack of evolution.
  13. Neat - also, my computer has been slacking and am now getting it to work here.
  14. Actually, I would limit it at: 1-4 analog synths - the analog filters inside them are generally unique and some routings are very unique. 1-2 modular analog synths - you'd only have 2 if they were from different companies - different components and modules being the biggest draw. 1-2 virtual analogue digital synths - you don't need many here. Heck you might skip this. 1 digital fm synthesiser - Yamaha DX series has yet to be beat or something. Or you could get the Fwonk Computer. 1-3 other digital synths, like the Juno series or similar synthesisers. 1-2 MIDI keyboards - one connected to hardware samplers and the other connected to a composition computer (main computer) After that it becomes crowded and you just become a collector.
  15. Just got my late Christmas gift from the Alberta Government via prosperity cheques - my new AKG K-271 Studio Monitoring headphones.
  16. And I'm only 10 points away from you, you lazy bum. Tell your computer to get to work. I have to turn off my computer overnight due to power concerns in this house. Yeah, something's up with my power bill too. It was like $300 more than normal this month for some reason. And the weird thing is, that's been the case with a LOT of people that I know too. Hmmmm....... We're not talking about the energy bill, we're talking about power breakers and stuff.
