  1. No, it is tremolo. I took viola and voice lessons and they are different. Tremolo means to literally tremble as opposed to vibratto which means to vibrate. You don't vibrate the hand, you tremble it. You don't make your chest tremble, you make it vibrate.
  2. A stringed instrument where tremolo is used very often - the same technique used on guitars.
  3. How is a violin different from a guitar in this manner?
  4. It's tremolo, not vibratto. You do vibratto with your chest, tremolo is with the fingers.
  5. Looks interesting. Not something I am busting my nut over.
  6. Use tricks learned in industrial: sample anything and everything and then distort the fuck out of them. Though, to have the more bizarre sounds, use electronic drums distorted supported with various industrial sounds (hums, clanks and thumping.) In black metal, only use distortion as a touch on the acoustic drums, not cranking it up. You want them to have clarity so you can actually make it out over the chugging guitars. The rhythms also use triplet-sixteenths for the blast beats.
  7. Eurobeat is more closer to house than techno. Just nitpicking here. In fact it is more house than trance.
  8. It's an extention of the idea of a pedal-keyboard MIDI controller, so it is not all that idiotic. It could lead to a new way of controlling more pedalle signals than what is offered by one or two foot-pedals.
  9. Unless you suck yet you're still having fun. That would depend on the group you're playing for. A small cafe full of dadaists would jeer you on to butcher it up more!
  10. No, we are actually talking about techno here. I hope you're kidding because the differences between Breaks, Techno, and Hip-Hop are huge, as I've already pointed out. It would be a fallacy to say that techno beats are any less complex than hiphop or breakbeats.
  11. No, we are actually talking about techno here.
  12. To do: Samurai Zombie Nation - Main Theme (Terror Mix!!!)
  13. Casio VL-1 Classic toy-synth right there. I also remember having a toy synth, but I could not really tell you what it was other than having a reedy sound to it.
  14. Violist Revolution! >.> Yeah, I haven't touched a viola in 12 years.
  15. It can be done with mith most VSTi. Read up your keyboard's manual.
  16. Updating my setup. Mixer: Behringer Eurorack MX602A => SoundCraft Compact10 MIDI Controller: Behringer BCR2000 MIDI Controller Software: Ableton Live 5.2 Just got it this weekend.
  17. Also, a lot of the mixers on KWED are from Europe where electronic isn't so shunned as it is in North America.
  18. I work in a logistics company. They pay me decently - well, 12 bucks an hour.
  19. No means to buy for I feign credit cards. Nor is there any sign I can use Paypal for this.
  20. First instrument: Electric Organ - 1988-1989 Didn't know what I was soing and just liked hitting those keys. I learned to despise the big red button. I will always hate the big red button. I also hate test tones for some reason too. Started remixing: around 2002 or so. I made a remix of Clash at Demonheads when I barely knew what the hell electronic music was. At that point I was in the transition from being saddened that I would never have an orchestra to play my music and making my music specifically for computers.
  21. I like vocoders, personally. But didn't Yamaha release a "decent" text+MIDI->singing program back in late 2004 or early 2005? I know Yamaha did release something like that. I also know there are other TMTS programs out there which are more affordable. Have you looked up SharewareMusicMachine?
  22. boom-chuk-chuk-boom-chuk-chuk-boom-chuk-boom-chuk-boom-chuk-boom Repeat. Well, that is my more liked rhythms.
