  1. This project not being done has turned into a staple of the Projects forum. It's gonna suck when the project finally comes out and I'll have nothing left to make fun of... except the music that is.
  2. I use an SPL (semen pressure level) meter to make sure I don't accidentally drown your mom when nutting on her face.
  3. but how will you learn if someone does it for you? I guess it's more important to get "posted" and make friends. Oh well.
  4. First off, you fail for not being able to do your work for yourself. Second, it's TRANSCRIBE. Transposing means you take a song that's in one key and you change it to another key, or you're moving it up or down by a certain number of steps, or a combination of the two.
  5. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA . . . . HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ugh.... my side.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA .....HAHAHAHHA!!!
  6. You're all so full of shit. The source is chosen specifically because it has the least amount of compression at 128kb. It's a trick experiment in getting you to second guess yourself. More than half of you who claimed you got it right most likely got it wrong and are just lying to make yourselves sound smarter and more adept at noticing "artifcats" than you actually are.
  7. The Sonor snare pisses me off... it sounds so good if done right, but half the people that use it, do it wrong...
  8. Sixto, by badly I mean that it's already processed to the point of sounding ready and done, it doesn't leave you with much room to work. As for getting rid of your DFHS, I think you should reconsider. Superior 2.0 is completely backwards compatible and the sampler alone should make the old Superior samples seem new again. Pezman, yeah, what Sixto said. Drumkit From Hell Superior is about 100gb total in size, the EZX Drumkit From Hell expansion is an EZD version of the very first Drumkit From Hell which came out many years ago.
  9. EZD is NOTHING like DFHS. All the samples are completely (and badly) pre-processed. There's no way to escape from that EZD sound. I prefer Addictive Drums much better because the pre-processing is barely noticeable and you actually have control over them, and the drums in EZD aren't as extensively sampled as DFHS. Superior 2.0 seems cool, I'm waiting for it on pre-order. That too, is NOTHING like EZD.
  10. EZDrummer, for the most part, sucks. If you want to learn about programming decent drum sequences, import a live drum part you like, slow it down by 50%, find the tempo and match up the hits.
  11. You don't get many controllers with it, and it looks so flimsy and cheap. I'd stay away and use that $150 to get a better keyboard controller. Edirol PCR series have a large variety of different knobs and sliders you can assign to anything, and they're much higher quality. Also, the M-Audio Axiom series have good MIDI control.
  12. You could always use an automated frequency filter to change the EQ of the pads dynamically throughout the song depending on what's needed at a specific time. Meaning, if during section A you want to pad to sound very dull and fat, you automate the filter to operate that way till you get to section B where you might want the pad to be bright and thin. Most relatively modern plugins create their own specialized automation tracks within that audio channel. So once you insert the effect, it should have two automation buttons (usually at the top of the effects UI window), read and write. Click on the Write button and now whenever you press play, whatever you do to that effect will be recorded. Then once you record your real time EQing, you click the Read button, and that real time editing you did will be played back as part of the song. If you don't see those buttons, then expand the audio tracks automation display till it's showing everything and you see your effects automation track. You should find a Read and Write set of buttons there.
  13. Hahaha, yeah, a room of bmmtssers getting in touch with their artistic side and playing their ambient pads, entranced in deep thought as they try to find meaning in offkey garbage. SOUNDS AWESOME Really though, that's pretty cool. Still doesn't beat a skype jam session.
  14. Dammit, as tempting as this is, I simply can't make room for it. Chances are this'll still be going on in a year, I'll do something then. Good luck!
  15. For $500 you're pretty limited... The MIDI control on everything but the KS4 is lacking for your needs. That or the JP-8000 would probably work best considering you can get both for around $500 (KS4 slightly cheaper if you're careful) and they both have very good midi interfacing. Your options would really increase if you were open to using rackmount versions of more expensive synths. That way you can get a good midi controller for $200 and a rackmount analog synth for $300, and it's easy to add more synths and expand your repertoire of awesome sounds.
  16. I love all my Carvins, they're the best guitars I've ever played. As for the pickups, those are Carvin pickups made specifically for their guitars, they have 11 poles per coil, which helps get more of the sound per string.
  17. Okay, here's the mini "studio" I'm working from while on vacation at my mother in laws house in Tacoma, WA. Huge thanks to norg for lending me that Axiom 25 and his 5 string bass. In all I'm running everything off of that little laptop. Mainly working with Cubase 4, Drumkit From Hell Superior (Superior 2.0 as soon as it ships :D:D) and various softsynths and libraries. The instruments are a Hohner B Bass V, Carvin DC127 guitar, shitty strat copy which I have modified into a 7 string (B to B tuning) and a badass green pickup and scalloped fingerboard. Not pictured are the little practice amp that I'm running Waves GTR3 through, and my Shure SM57 that records it. Oh, and norg and I built that awesome table together last year because I had no place to record music when I visited here. I've "modified" it (aka put hooks and hangers on it) in a way that keeps the floor and surrounding area totally free from loose cabling. My work area is totally clean and very conducive to music creation. P.S. Yeah, I know the date on the camera is wrong, I forget to set it...
  18. A good sounding song. Some of the synths would be unbearably annoying in the hands of someone less experienced. The mixing is good, everything is clear and punchy without clipping. The musical content is surprisingly interesting. My only problem is that this is too over interpreted. Adding some of this song into a more recognizable rendition of the original song would be great, but as it stands, it's not a good arrangement. Taking this many liberties with a song changes it into something completely different, and it's way beyond the threshold of good taste. Still, a good listen and a great example of electronic music done well.
  19. Hey, you guys got any openings? I'm interested.
  20. those dives in your solo are annoying. otherwise this is a great arrangement!
