  1. I've used the following in Vista 32 and Vista 64 and they all work flawlessly: Addictive Drums ALL the NI stuff including Stormdrum Edirol Orchestral The rest I can't speak for. If M-Audio has official vista drivers for your hardware, then rest assured they're rock solid. I have to use developer only beta drivers for my Delta 10/10 and Audiophile and even those work perfectly (in vista 64, no crash yet!)
  2. Just jam out some random shit on the keys or guitar while recording with a metronome, after a while of playing random stupid shit you'll naturally form ideas. And I hope you're not JUST remixing... I lose my drive very quickly if I don't write at least one original song between remixes. Just play for the sake of playing, something will come out.
  3. I'm not feeling those real guitar vids, they just sound keyboarded. Even with all the timing algorithms and all that detail they try to add in, it doesn't sound real. The Acoustic Legends demos sound more realistic, but they're not as diverse as the examples using real guitar, and those types of demos are always done as carefully as possible to sell the product. I'm not convinced either way. If I had to choose, I'd take acoustic legends, though both could pass in a full mix, as a solo instrument acoustic legends sounds better in the demos... though that's not really an indication of how it'll sound once you get it...
  4. If you're a student you can probably get it for half price.
  5. Only differences I see are the packaged plugins and support for surround sound. Get studio. That is, ofcourse, if you have a decent set of plugins ready to import into it, specifically EQ and compression.
  6. Point is, it's much easier to Google for Cubase tutorials then it is to Google for Steinberg.Cubase.SX3.H20.rar. If you're gonna steal shit and make no real effort to sit down and figure something out, or refuse use the endless faucet of knowledge which is the internet and take a day out to concentrate and read some articles... well, then you can get back to polishing off that bag of dicks I sent you earlier.
  7. Yup, as Yoozer said. The last bootlegged version was SX3, cubase 4 and cubase 5 are uncracked, and it appears they'll remain that way. I'm not completely against bootlegging, but if you're gonna do it, you have to realize that you're on your own. I bootlegged Cubase SX3 many years ago, and I learned it on my own, then I naturally saw the error of my ways and began paying money for an official copy of my DAW. Bootlegging samples is one thing, but the last thing you want to do is bootleg your DAW, which is completely integrated into your system and sound drivers... especially one like Cubase which has to go through a number of methods to be cracked and actually work on your system...
  8. I had typed up a huge post with detailed help for you, but then I realized that you're bootlegging the software since Cubase SX3 is a few years old and you can't buy it anymore, so instead I'm gonna tell you to put in as much effort into learning it as you did in locating the download and to fuck off and eat a flaming bag of dicks.
  9. You'll come around, they all come around...
  10. Improving through SnappleMan is a difficult process. First there's being butthurt, then anger towards me, then resentment "his songs suck too, what does he know?", then denial "no, I'm awesome, my songs sound just as good or better than his", then fear "what if he's right?.. no way, he's just a dick!... isn't he?", then acceptance "damn, he does know his shit...", followed by repentance "I'm sorry SnappleMan, please teach me something.", and finally, anger at having wasted all that time taking advice from noobs who know less than you do instead of seeking out people like me.
  11. That's why you're still making crappy music
  12. check the IRC log... long story short, this sucks.
  13. I'm digging everything except the ridiculous bass tone.
  14. Hey everyone! Just relaying a message from everyone's favourite band... THE SMASH BROTHERS!!! The Smash Brothers have finally pulled it together and gotten a web site going. Now experience their bacon-infused goodness - without the smell of bacon - in the privacy and comfort of your own living quarters. CLICK HERE------->http://www.thesmashbrothers.com<-------CLICK HERE This wicked-cool web presence (put together by the ridiculously awesome Mazedude) contains generic information, band member bios, and links to samples from OUR BRAND NEW EP <--- that's the special announcement, kids. The EP is being printed right this very moment and will be available at MAGFest. We are only doing a very small run of this one, however, so make sure to swing by our table and pick up a copy. Five Dollars, Six Songs. Bargain bin prices! We won't be undersold!
  15. Indeed, we need the japanese arrangement style represented here.
  16. Nice arrangement! As cliche as it is, it's fun to listen to. Piano section kinda came out of nowhere and sticks out in a negative way. Dragonforce style solos get boring fast, not a fan of those. Overall good stuff. Question, are you Japanese? If not, quit the wapanese act because it makes me want to destroy you... OTHERWISE GOOD JOB AND START SUBMITTING TO OCR!!!
  17. Good thing you read the previous posts and noticed that those are the same exact ones I was linked to, only they cost $70 on Musicians Friend. I expect a price match and discount for stupidity on your part.
