Voting is live. Information is in the first post. I decided to go PRC-style top-three. We have a social group, so make sure you head over there to cast your vote. Remember, if you are one of the contestants in this competition, leave your team's remix out of your rankings. As long as you vote, you'll get a first place vote for your team's remix. Make sure to post your team's name in your vote so I can give you your voting bonus.

Round 1's remixes are now available for download. I will post voting rules and procedures tomorrow. For now, please just enjoy the music.

I think I'm going to do it like PRC, where you just vote for one mix, and if you are a contestant, you can't vote for your own team, but if you vote, your team automatically gets a '1st place' vote. This way it doesn't just work out to vote stacking by team. I still need to decide though. I will post actual voting rules tonight when the mixes go up.

I have 8/12 remixes. Even if your mix is incomplete, make sure you submit it. No mix = no points, but submitting one will get you at least 1 point.

Alright, that's fine, but you need to be aware that if Elipzo is out, he can't come back. That's it. I've changed the roster. To answer the question about tags: I strip out all the tags when I fix up the release and generate everything based on the file names, so don't worry about filling in anything for those. Just make sure the file names are correct. There is no min or max bitrate requirement, but I encourage people to encode their MP3s at a decent CBR like 192 or just do VBR.

Hamaguchi just orchestrated the version in the game for the arrange soundtrack. It's the same song, there's nothing unique. It's the same One-Winged Angel piece you hear everywhere.

No, that's not correct at all. Seriously guys it's not difficult: First three weeks, everyone has to mix once. Order doesn't matter. Next three weeks, everyone has to mix once. Order doesn't matter. Three more weeks? Everyone has to mix once. Order doesn't matter. Etc. Why don't you guys worry about this stuff when we actually start and ask these questions when we get there? All these hypothetical situations are just going to increase confusion. Just relax, familiarize yourselves with your Robot Master themes, play around in Photoshop, and wait until Saturday.

You don't have to keep the same order. You don't have to post your mixing order either. You can decide who mixes what week to week.

Rounds are one week long. Only one person from the team makes a remix for the round though, so your team members can handle the mixing until you get back. You'll probably be back home in time for the third round.

If your first pick doesn't conflict with anyone, you get it. If it conflicts, I flip the coin between the two who conflict, and the winner gets their first and the loser gets their second. If that second pick conflicts with someone else's first pick, I flip again. The idea is that I want everyone to have a shot of getting a Robot Master as high up on their own list as possible. Losing the first coin toss shouldn't bump you down all the way to the end of your list just because other guys have picked the ones on your list as their first.

Don't think that's Mega Man enough. Anyway, since everyone posted their picks, I went through and made the rosters. Check the sheet in the first post; your Robot Master for the competition is in BLUE. The mixing stage will begin this Saturday, you guys have a week to make sigs and team banners and stuff. I will be revealing the first Wily Castle theme at the start of the round.
