  1. Pretty good! Vocals need to sit in the mix better; too dry, but a good performance. Original sections need some source usage to put it over the top. If you can't find material in the source tune you've picked, go back to the rest of the soundtrack and pull something out of there; no reason to have completely original sections when there's so much material in the FF soundtrack to draw from. I like it, but needs more source. NO Oh, also, Larry, not counting the time between things like 1:25.75—1:26.75 is silly.
  2. I think it sounds good. Really rockin' guitar stuff and good development throughout. I don't really hear the production issues everyone else is hearing. Drums sound fine to me. YES
  3. What's up with the drums, bro? Justin's right, there's something up with your EQ on the kick and snare; sounds really muffled and sort of kills any impact they could be having in terms of lending energy to the piece. Arrangement is fantastic, but I think you ought to revisit your approach to the percussion. It lacks definition and turns into a mushy jumble. Really want to have this piece on the site. Let's get some production fixes and a resub. NO
  4. Bassline is not a dealbreaker at all. It's in key, it works. Great feel. Lots of small touches like reversed samples and stuff. Really quirky electronic sound. YES
  5. I have my own way of catching up on shows I've missed. Thanks though.
  6. The only thing it's really lacking is the original theme song. I haven't seen this week's ep, but I really liked the pilot. Great action and voice acting. The second episode was a bit of a Moby Dick pastiche; I don't think it was a very strong second episode. I think this is one of those shows that will get better as they delve further into the mythology of the world. I'm on board.
  7. I love that Wun Wun is a vegetarian.
  8. Barristan the Bold more like Barristan the Badass am i rite?
  9. Dany and Jon are my favorites, although Dany's tale is much better when she's not sitting on pillows. I like where she ends up at the end of the book; on her own with only a dragon. As for the endgame, I think the writing is on the wall as far as the true conflict is concerned. None of this game of thrones bullshit everyone is playing actually matters. In the end, there is going to be some serious shit going down in the North, and the Others don't care who sits on the Iron Throne.
  10. A lot of people felt the same way about Dany and all the Meereenese politics in Dance.
  11. I do know how to play an instrument actually; I played trumpet for a number of years before switching over to mainly composing.
  12. I'm not going to take it personally, because I actually do spend a lot of time tweaking velocities in all of my pieces, especially in this piece. Maybe it doesn't come across because I don't do really stark differences in velocities between notes, but it is something I'm always keeping in mind.
  13. Nabeel wants Cash Tracks and All You Need to Know. I will paypal you because he doesn't have the means to purchase things online.
  14. I don't think Jon's situation is permanent. It's not as definitive as what happened to Eddard, and more along the lines of what happened Arya back in Storm of Swords (attack, blackout). I know that GRRM does whatever the hell he wants, but there are too many questions surrounding Jon's true significance in all this and I don't think removing him from the equation would serve well to address all those things. If you're looking for something cool to read, try The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. I'm going to rename this thread to remove the "on HBO," since there is book talk going on in here.
  15. Nice to see some TF2 players registering on the site. Make sure you guys stick around and check out the remixes.
  16. I'm really looking forward to this game. Haven't tried the demo yet though.
  17. Cool! Wish I was in the UK to see this. Set list looks neat. ANGRY BIRDS!
  18. There are no official covers aside from the bracket badges. When 2010 ended I shopped around for an artist to do some art for some kind of official release, but I didn't get much response, and didn't find anyone who drew in a style that I liked. I really want someone who can draw the Robot Masters in that classic, old-school anime style that you see in official art for the first six Mega Man games, like the art for the Complete Works PSX remakes.
  19. Sounds Elfman-esque at points; Beetlejuicy! Great use of Red Soil in 3/4 time to push that dark waltz feel. Love it!!!
