  1. Yeah, basically. Humans also get tired at night; that doesn't mean we're "powered by the sun," it just means that we have circadian rhythms that we're adjusted to which line up with a day-night cycle. Incidentally, we can adjust our circadian rhythms if we want to sleep during the day and do things during the night, and we'd be just fine. Animals aren't "powered by the sun." That's photosynthesis, and like The Damned said, that's what plants do. Okay but that's not what's happening in Attack on Titan. There is absolutely nothing in the series that actually suggests that everyone is experiencing mass hallucination. The horror of the Titans is very real and is something that characters throughout the series witness individually. People are actually being eaten, destruction is actually happening. There are more things that happen in the manga that suggest what the Titans actually are, and misconception and mass hallucination don't play into that.
  2. Ants aren't machines that run on solar power. I haven't seen the anime, so I don't know how far it's adapted the manga, but there are revelations about the Titans later on that indicate something more going on than just the idea that they perceive us as ants/insignificant beings. You're making a lot of weird assumptions and leaps in logic here.
  3. Yeah, getting really tired of people making birthday threads for random forum members.

  6. AudioBus is an audio routing tool in iOS that allows you to stream audio from one app to another app. It's the backbone of inter-app connectivity for music production apps on the platform. AudioCopy is essentially a clipboard for audio on iOS. It's also incredibly useful for moving audio data between apps. Those two things are not essential for playing chiptunes, but given that a huge part of Gambi's functionality is dedicated to remixing and audio manipulation, not having those things present in an Android version essentially guts the application and turns it into just a chiptune player—which is what you're looking for, obviously, but porting Gambi seems like it would be a waste, because it wouldn't even be the same application.
  7. Try , from Hiroki Kikuta's Soukaigi soundtrack. Truly gorgeous string track.Honestly just check out the entire Soukaigi soundtrack. All live, great expressive tracks.
  8. No, but something like it.

  9. Thank you everyone who came out and saw us at ConnectiCon. We didn't get a massive turnout at our panels but the folks who showed up were all super-nice and super-enthusiastic. Also much love to all the folks who came by our table and talked with us about games and music. Met a ton of cool people this weekend!
  10. from Super Mario Galaxy 2 always puts me in a good mood.
  11. Yes, the show takes a lot of breaks. It's not going to ever be completely weekly. There are holidays and events and other things that happen that keep us from doing it every week. There's nothing wrong with that, and honestly I'd appreciate it if folks would stop digging at us every time we don't have an episode. I like doing Talkback a lot, and I'm really glad people enjoy tuning in when it's on, but if we don't do one and miss a week or two, then that's what happens. Anyway, enough about that. A Futebol Arte Talkback is definitely something we can do but it needs to be done earlier in the day because Ivan is on a radically different timezone and we don't want him to have to stay up until 4 or 5 in the morning for it. CTCon is also this weekend so we have to see if it's feasible for us to do this on a different day this week or push it out until next week.
  12. The first episode of the original anime was also very closely based on the first chapter of the manga, which is why both first episodes are so similar.
  13. This game is amazing. I've made no secret about the fact that I'm pretty much over the 8-bit aesthetic when it comes to games, but Shovel Knight manages to be a great looking and great sounding game with amazing art direction and music that I'm totally into. What's more is that level design is top-notch, which I feel really sells this game as one of the greats. Giving a game a retro look and sound is one thing; making it feel like a great retro game is another thing entirely. The game teaches you how to play without telling you how to play, and whenever you die, you know why you died, and you know how to do better. Planning on tackling New Game+ soon, but I have to say I'm a big fan of the game and I'm looking forward to Yacht Club's next project.
  14. We've talked internally about something like this for years. It's a good idea and will probably happen eventually but there are a lot of things we need to do before we get into developing a feature like this. Good to see that other folks want it though.
  15. I got this game. What server are most OCR people playing on?
  16. Good job getting it done. I have a mix on this too, from a long time ago. It's one of my personal favorite tracks that I've done. Glad people will be able to listen to it. Looking forward to everyone else's tracks even more, though.
  17. If you want to find out if we'd accept something, you have to make the mix and submit it. We're not going to say "YES, we will accept something like this" because that's ultimately a pretty meaningless statement. We judge remixes, not ideas for remixes. In any case, there's nothing special about that remix you posted that would preclude it from being judged just like any other electronic remix.
  18. It's been many MANY years since I played around with MIDI files but IIRC, there were a couple of weird subformats that didn't always play well with certain software. They might actually be RMI files with a renamed extensions. I think you can find a converter or something for them to change them into Standard MIDI Files.
  19. Oh man, I remember this track! It was in my top three for that round. Love how this one turned out. X3 Zero theme is used amazingly in this track, as both the syncopated hook and also the backing track for the solo sections. Love the back and forth between aggressive and laid-back soundscapes too. Fantastic!!! YES
