Project update:
The tune is almost completely doing being recorded from a musical aspect. I'd put it at 90% complete, as there are still some parts I want to go back to and fix (such as at 1:49 where it's just the open triplets over and over). Also, some of the panning is off at the end of the song, and there is a bit of clipping in the Bramble part.
Other than those issues, and one riff I'm still trying to work into it, it's mostly done.
But I've decided that I want clean vocals over the Bramble part, a layered harmonized part that echoes failure and remorse. I haven't written the lyrics yet, but I will in the next day or so.
So I need a male voice that can reach relatively high registers (we're not talking high pitched nasally stuff though). As an example, Periphery's "Juggernaut Inertia":
