  1. Este es en tu computador. No podemos download lo (no se como se dice "download" en espanol) Necesitas ponerlo en el red. Tambien, no lo das a todomundo; solamente a pixietricks. Puedes darlo a pixietricks por e-mail. (lo siento, no he practicado mi espanol mucho)
  2. Jus' lemme know what you need and when you need it. (I already have a couple of tracks in mind which would make for good vocal songs, I think.
  3. Doug, quit postwhoring, you postwhore. Speaking of which, I'm going to hump somebody's leg in the middle of Grand Central. EDIT: Kat, perhaps we can meet up at Port Authority? My cell # is 919 810-1528.
  4. Creating MIDIs is basically where you start from; from there it's just a matter of what samples/VSTi's/Soundfonts/whatever you render it with. Sonar, Cubase, Tracktion, etc are also basically midi-creation programs, and they're quite popular among remixers. I suggest you take a closer look at those instructions; as I said, they'll probably be able to help you more than we will.
  5. What the hell, I'll just figure it out when I get to Port Authority.
  6. rofl, Jose. On a different subject, how far is Grand Central from Port Authority? If it's not too far and the weather's nice, it sounds like it might be easier to just walk there.
  7. Same question, though: how can one possibly write a tutorial on arrangement? To an even greater extent than production, arrangement is completely different for everybody. I don't know how y'all do it, but I either have an idea or I don't. There's nothing I actually DO to come up with an arrangement, I just sit down and record when I think of one.
  8. Two questions: 1) Does it have a helpfile? Online instructions? Anything like that? I don't think many remixers use that program, which means odds are low we'll be able to help you with it. That doesn't mean it's a bad program -- it just means that the included helpfiles will be able to help you far more than this forum will. 2) Why start another topic? Just use this one.
  9. I'll be taking a bus into Port Authority, then either walking or taking a shuttle over to Grand Central. Unfortunately, I won't have my guitar with me this time for the post-meetup thang at Andy's.
  10. In many gamers' eyes, Zelda OoT is still the standard. I sure hope not, because OoT was still lacking for even its day. Your mom was lacking. Oot, however, was not.
  11. Ok, so just a few hours ago, I, for the first time in my life, got a chance to play through an actual cranked up tube amp. Holy shit, teh hawtness. Played on my cousin's Kendrick and his Princeton, and the tone was absolutely eargasmic. Emulations I've tried do not even come close to the real thing. HOWEVER, I'll have to dissagree with PriZm's assertion that you can't get good solo distortion from software. Amplitube 2, though it may not sound like a REAL tube amp, can sound absolutely fantastic on leads.
  12. I hope to enter the next edition of this. Also, Jill, lemme know if you need background tracks for future comps; I'll be happy to try my hand at those as well.
  13. Rail and Koala. All you need to know. And LuiZa And Pixietricks Though neither of them is available
  14. One of these days I should actually learn theory so I can read these topics and have some clue what you're talking about. (Actaully, I do have somewhat of an idea, but not enough of one to answer)
  15. Is there a specific style you're going for? Do you want something with good acoustic sounds or good electronic sounds? I tend to favor the Yamaha keyboards. I use a Yamaha S03, and for the price ($500) it's magnificent. It does not have built-in speakers, though it does have its own soundbank. Keys are velocity-sensitive, but not weighted. The PSR-series has built-in speakers, and from what I gather, is very solid (though I've only had limited experience playing them). I don't know if they have weighted keys. I don't know of any keyboards (aside from a few midi controllers) under $500 with weighted keys -- it seems like only the higher-end keyboards have those, from what I've seen.
  16. More specifically? The thing is, a lot of what we think of as production is something that you can't really write a tutorial for, because it varies so much depending on the style and feel you're going for. You just sorta gotta practice until you develope an ear for it.
  17. Bumpage is a plenty good reason. Posting from my cousins/aunts/uncles place in NJ (and yes, that's the guitar-making cousin -- bwahahaha). See you guys in two days!
  18. Topics like this get posted pretty frequently, though not frequently enough that I've been able to find the most recent one. It would be nice to have some sort of regular feature on ThaSauce or, if/when it starts again, VGDJ, that explores what various remixers are up to these days. It could also just be an in-depth look at the "real world" of a remixer who's still around. Anyway, to actually answer your question, I have no idea.
  19. Ah, gotcha. EDIT: Wouldn't a mixer be more useful for Sionar's purposes than a preamp? Since he'll be using two mics, it seems like it would make far more sense to hook both mics up to a mixer?
  20. -New studio desk. -Hand-knitted ski cap with musical notes going around the sides.
  21. Off topic: is there a stereo equivalent of the VTB1? A preliminary search isn't giving me much.
  22. The E-mu 1212m doesn't have mic inputs or preamps. It's definitely a good soundcard, but it would mean he'd need more gear.
