  1. Winamp for audio, Media Player Classic w/ K-Lite Codec Pack, Real Alternative and Quicktime Alternative for video. For anyone who's used both, how does CCCP compare with the K-Lite pack?
  2. There are a few NES emulators linked on the d-pad hero page. I'd recommend Nestopia. It's not like emulation is a forbidden topic on OCR or anything... (edit: that emulator list is kinda out of date, but still.)
  3. Awesome. Extremely hard, but awesome.
  4. It's no longer happening on either my computer or my parents' computer, so I guess Google took care of it. Mods, feel free to lock / move this thread.
  5. edit: In the time it took for me to make this post, the problem vanished. Google's pretty on the ball. Original post: Google in a bad mood today or something? Seems like every single search result has that warning, and because of it, Google won't let you through to the page. I thought it might have been my computer at first, but the same thing is happening on my parents' computer.
  6. Both of those sites seem to link to generic anti-spyware software, not specific 'removal tools' for that particular program. One of them links to Spyware Doctor, which apparently doesn't actually remove the threat unless you pay for the program. The slightly-less crippled 'Starter Edition' is available as a part of Google Pack. I've never used it before myself, but if Google thinks it's alright... I've used Spybot - Search and Destroy in the past. Despite it's ever-so-cheesy name, it seems to work well. I can't guarantee that it'll solve your particular problem, but it's worth a shot. (shouldn't this be in help & newbies?)
  7. I was just about to ask for Galaxy Man, but ARGH!! Joshua Morse beat me to it. edit: Plug Electric isn't bad either. edit2: Holy CRAP that tracklist is filling up fast.
  8. I'm interested. I'll listen to the OST again and see if there are any unclaimed tracks that catch my ear.
  9. Wow, that's quite the departure from your orchestral tracks. Not exactly my favorite style, but pretty good nonetheless.
  10. The VGL website claims that they will be playing in Newfoundland sometime in the future. :-D:-D
  11. You fail at math. If Suzumebachi is older than DragonAvenger, than DA's birthday is AFTER Suzu's, not before. [edit: beat by 3 minutes... did it really take that long to post this?] ... Happy proof-your-parents-had-sex day, Suzu!
  12. The links were not intentionally removed. Tindeck's down, that's all. edit: A *slightly* older version of one of the parts is on R:TS, if you want to grab it there: http://remix.thasauce.net/song/RTS0143/ or, alternatively, on his vgmix page: http://www.vgmix.com/members/433/audio.php?p=1
  13. Really impressive! Seriously, I don't have any criticism. I think your arrangement is great, especially considering the brevity of the source. Samples sound good to me too. I'm definitely putting this on my mp3 player.
  14. Hmm... I thought that Minish Cap as good as the two Oracle games, if not better. As for the topic at hand... I have my doubts that it's a Zelda game. If it was, you'd think there'd be at least some indication of Nintendo's presence, but there's not even so much as a mention in copyright line at the bottom of the page.
  15. Whenever The Third Garden comes on my MP3 player, I have to check that it's not Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Take that as a compliment.Am I detecting a few references to Sigur Ros in Groundhog Hill? (Actually, the majority of the album reminds me of Sigur Ros. Take that as a compliment too.)
  16. That's my impression as well. I've only using it for a little over an hour and the novelty has already worn off. I don't see myself ever using it seriously.
  17. I have a feeling that this would be the more likely response. Also, http://jmr.sitesled.com/ok-i-think-i'm-having-too-much-fun-with-this.mp3 (at least the generated backing track in the last one actually had some resemblance to the original. this one would be completely unrecognizable if you removed the lead.)
  18. I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't even make it to the panel.
  19. I just tried it with a few SNES and NES chiptunes with muted channels. Most didn't work that well, but this SMW track worked suprising well. http://jmr.sitesled.com/Bahahaha.mp3 ... Probably the funniest thing I've ever done.
  20. Would that be this Chris Feener by any chance? If it is, AWESOME. Nice to see someone else from this neck of the woods involved in VGM remixing.EDIT: Shnabubula is my new god.
  21. If you just want to trigger the shutter, try using a universal tv remote. I discovered my old RCA remote could be used to control my Pentax; I'd imagine Olympus isn't that different. If that doesn't work for you, DealExtreme sells some camera remotes that are much cheaper than the official ones.
