  1. Hmm, the headphones are pretty easy to distinguish on my screen. I don't really miss the functionality of the sidebar (never used it much), but I sort of miss the screen real estate it used to occupy. Feels weird reading threads spanning the full width of a wide-screen monitor. Apart from that, I'm liking the new layout.
  2. I was bored. I made a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY6sHNA7BlM
  3. Congrats! I wish you all the best, man.
  4. I wondered the same thing. And then I realized that it was xoc (!) covering Super Mario 3 (!!!!), and that there was no way that it could be wrong. In all seriousness: he's giving the download away to people who 'donate' money (similar to how people who 'donate' to Metroid Metal get a sponsor CD and access to sponsor-only bonus material). I'm not quite sure if that's the 'legal loophole' you were looking for...
  5. Just out of curiosity, why are you using Winamp 2? Winamp 5 with the classic skin (which is what I use) looks and behaves essentially the same as the older version.
  6. Get it here for $5.(posting this here because as far as I know XOC doesn't spend to much time around these parts)
  7. Not all previous changes have been noted, though. I know that OCR01489 was replaced with a new remixed & remastered version several months after it was originally posted, yet there's no mention of it in the changelog.
  8. Just stopping by to say HOLY CRAP GREAT ALBUM EVERYONE DOWNLOAD IT NAO. Seriously, though. I really enjoyed the album. Nice work, ilp0!
  9. Yeah, that's better; the vocals seem much more in sync with the instrumental now.
  10. Pretty impressive for a first mashup. The two songs fit together pretty well. There are a few points where I think they could be synced a little tighter (1:15 and 1:23 sound kinda off to me, in particular), but that's a pretty minor issue. Nice work overall; I look forward to hearing more from you in the future.
  11. I've used DVD Decrypter (I'm not going to provide a link, you'll have to look for it yourself) to accomplish that in the past. Use IFO mode, find the clip you want in the Input tab, and use the stream processing tab to isolate the audio (select only the relevant audio tracks, and use the demux option.) (I don't have access to the program right now, so I might be missing a step or two...) If everything goes smoothly, you should be left with either a plain wave file or a Dolby Digital AC3 file, depending on the audio format used on the DVD. If it's a wave file, you're pretty well good to go. If it's an AC3 file, use something like AC3Filter or HeadAC3he to convert it into a wave or MP3.
  12. Sorry I haven't been in touch, things have been unbelievably hectic for me lately. All of my university profs hit the ground running and started piling on the work way too quickly... and I'm working two jobs besides classes. (I'm actually writing this from work, in between clients...)There's been some minor progress on the WIP front. I still have a few issues I want to work out before sharing it, and I can't estimate how long it'll take... BUT REST ASSURED, there's no way I'm abandoning this project.
  13. Something to do with this site, from what I can gather...
  14. The first half was on the first Nevar Say Day! compilation, and the second half was released for free download here... So yeah, definitely not private anymore.
  15. I first visited the site sometime between October 14 and November 20 2001, after downloading several older remixes from whatever p2p filesharing service was popular at the time. (Audiogalaxy, maybe?)
  16. I'll try to actually finish a song this year...
  17. Did you make any progress with it whatsoever? If so, I'd very much like to hear it.
  18. 7 hours left folks, get your entries in. That goes double for Abadoss. I really want to hear some Silpheed remixage.
  19. Wow, she actually responded? Given the tone of her article and her 'history', I expected that she would just adjust the article and leave it at that. But wow, she responded, and even seemed somewhat apologetic for her actions. Thanks for posting that.
  20. I don't remember ever having that many problems with it. Granted, I probably got a few time-overs back when I first played it, but I'm pretty sure I figured it out myself. I didn't have internet access until YEARS later (I was 6 when I first played the game!), and I never had any magazines or guide books...
  21. F4T4L's probably gonna hate me for saying this, but I'm doubting I'll completely finish my mix by the deadline. Been completely bogged down with work and my engineering workterm report (due friday), and my landlord's been doing some rather noisy renovations, cutting back on my recording time. If I don't get things finished in time, I'll clean up the very rough demo I recorded a few weeks back and submit that instead. At least it's something.
