OH this makes me so happy. Must see screens and videos.

Of all the foolishly foolish things fools have foolishly - Wait, wrong character. Yeah, I'm definitely glad to have some Ace Attorney avatars available now.
-
OBJECTION! The Lost Vikings avatars clearly belong in the Blizzard category!
-
Not necessarily. It's quite likely that these job listings are completely unrelated to the announcement coming up next month. You don't start hiring leads when you're far enough along on a project to announce it and release screenshots, unless that project has seen some serious internal turmoil. Ghost was put on hold indefinitely a few months back, so we probably won't be seeing it any time soon, if ever.

Here's a nice helping of rofl. On the subject of Square-Enix not bringing their games to the virtual console: "We feel that the Japanese game market still requires media," he said. "Also, FF and Dragon Quest are played by a wide range of users, from children to adults, so there are limitations when you consider the problems that we would have with billing systems." Oh, yes, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that they can just rerelease those games over and over and over again for far more profit than they would get from releasing them on virtual console. Or is that what he means when he says "the market still requires media"?

Neo Geo games coming to Virtual Console!

His disregard for the traditional was actually the main thing I liked about his writing. Also on the subject of Vonnegut's writing style; from an interview with Douglas Adams from 1979 that I read a few weeks ago: "Sirens of Titan is just one of those books – you read it through the first time and you think it's very loosely, casually written. You think the fact that everything suddenly makes such good sense at the end is almost accidental. And then you read it a few more times, simultaneously finding out more about writing yourself, and you realise what an absolute tour de force it was, making something as beautifully honed as that appear so casual."

Aw man.

Do it. The R&C games are an absolute blast, Okami is incredible, and RE4 is easily the best game in the series. Easily.
-
It's definitely not as good as the Phoenix Wright games, and it can get sort of tedious at times, but it's good. I'd recommend it.

Planet Terror was absolutely fucking amazing. Like, I don't even know where to begin. It was all pure gold. BUT, and this'll likely get me flamed, I thought Death Proof was rather boring, save for the actual action.
-
Same here. I absolutely love Death Note.

Mario & Sonic together in an Olympic Games title!!
Yoshi3gg replied to carra's topic in General Discussion
Here's some good news. Miyamoto is going to be heavily involved with it, and Sonic Team ISN'T going to be. So there's hope for it. -
I'm obsessed with Heroes as well, and Hiro is my favorite by far. It's been a while since it was on though, and I just checked the website... no new episodes until April 23rd

OCR01549 - Chrono Trigger "Theme of Frog's"

The flute intro is a bit shaky, but the rest of the piece is excellent. I do wish it was a little bit longer, though! -
World of StarCraft? For real this time?
Yoshi3gg replied to Ab56 v2 aka Ash's topic in General Discussion
Developing a Starcraft MMO is like printing money, so I figure it's an inevitability. It's very nice to know that, when/if such a time comes, Blizzard isn't going to just make Warcraft in space (to bring back an old phrase). Personally, I'd be content if they just developed another Starcraft expansion with new campaigns and some new multiplayer maps; I really can't imagine a new Starcraft being better than the original. -
This happened at CSU Chico, which is only a few hours from Sacramento. The radio station seriously should've known better.

Oh my God. YES.

OCR01538 - Metroid "Sugar, Water, Purple"
Yoshi3gg replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Wow. This was absolutely incredible. I downloaded this without reading the write-up, so I didn't know what to expect. By 1:30, I had completely stopped what I was doing and was just focusing on the mix, without even realizing it. It shows a level of technical skill that is just unfathomable to me, and creative instinct that I'm envious of. A brilliant arrangement, through and through. -
Gmod is awesome! Gmod 10 was the wisest $10 purchase I've ever made.

God, I love Rocket Knight Adventures. Nice graphics, great music, fun, challenging... It's one of those games that I don't see many people mention much, but was probably one of my favorite games when I was younger. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't some members of the team that developed RKA eventually split off from Konami to form Treasure?

I've never heard of Slalom before, much less actually played it, but this is a very high energy, well-arranged mix. The repetition was starting to get on my nerves near the middle, but mazedude shook things up enough in the ending for me to end up liking the piece overall.

OCR00838 - Lightening Force "Bio Tech"
Yoshi3gg replied to Ginnsu's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I liked this mix. Contrary to most of the other reviewers, I absolutely love the 80's sound to this piece; I can't really comment on the quality of the arrangement with respect to the source material though, as I've never heard the source tune before. It's definitely not for serious listening, but it's a solid addition to my online gaming playlist. -

This is a great idea. I'll definitely do this next week whenever I need to relax between studying for finals. -
Wow, I'm REALLY glad I checked the topic listing before posting. I had just finished writing up a post about this mere seconds ago, and was about to hit submit. Here's what mine said:
