  1. I was curious what the limit on the wallet was, so I spent a few hours blasting the jellyfish (HORRIBLE waste of time in hindsight, but it was nice to not have to worry about running out of cash trying to do the shooting gallery, which was actually pretty challenging for me, and in a SATISFYING rather than frustrating way). Anyway, 9999 is the limit. I am absolutely LOVING this game. It is somewhat different from most Zelda games, but honestly, I've felt that the differences have been for the better. I'm having a complete blast so far. Also, Wind Waker-style graphics ftw. Twilight Princess was pretty and all, but it just doesn't have the same charm that Wind Waker did.
  2. Ohhhhh my god, that was the best update ever. Absolutely hilarious, through and through.
  3. I want this game SO bad. But I have no wifi in my dorm room. Gonna have to look into buying a router or Nintendo's overpriced USB thingy.
  4. The computer I just recently built is Aldaris (I was feeling Starcrafty at the time). To date, it hasn't told me that I must construct additional pylons. My old computer is Phoenix because the damn thing kept busting up over and over and over again and I just kept on fixing it. Bad boot sector on my hard drive, RAM going bad, RAM slot going bad (thus requiring a motherboard replacement, which meant I had to get a new video card since the old mobo was AGP and the new one's PCIe), etc. etc. Honestly, the only functioning parts of the computer in there now that it initially came with are the power supply and the floppy drive. Even the original case fans went bad, with one of them totally failing and the other becoming unreasonably loud in its old age.
  5. I had that happen to my Wii a while back, and unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in fixed it. So I'd try that when you get the chance, and if that doesn't work, then go ahead and call up Nintendo's tech support.
  6. I waited in fileplanet's lame line for an hour or so and once I started downloading I was getting a solid 400KB/s. At 19%, my download just totally froze up and I said "screw it." Now I'm downloading the demo off of steam at about 150KB/s. It's not 400KB/s, but it's better than nothing.
  7. http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/19/bioshock-pc-demo-is-really-coming-monday/ 7pm EST monday, but better than never.
  8. Damn, that sucks. Thanks for the response.
  9. I'm not sure if you mean something like playing the songs in a club or just listening to them on your laptop in public with your speakers on, but the relevant lines of the content policy seem to be: "Live performance or playback of OverClocked ReMixes may occur in commercial, for-profit spaces such as stores, private clubs, or other gatherings, so long as no cost is explicitly associated with listening to them and no endorsement of the commercial entity by OverClocked ReMix can be inferred." and "If OverClocked ReMixes are being redistributed, performed, or incorporated into other works, materials used must be clearly attributed both to the ReMixer(s) who created them and to OverClocked ReMix... In the case of public or semi-public performances where accreditation is not reasonable, responding to audience inquiries with this information will suffice." Assuming I'm interpreting this right, if you're not charging people to listen to the music, and you're telling them the artist's name and ocremix's URL when/if they ask, you should be fine!
  10. I use Filezilla, it seems to get the job done.
  11. Alright, so I recently got a new 20" widescreen ViewSonic LCD monitor, and the thing is a beauty. However, I've come across a huge problem. Starcraft looks ugly as sin all stretched out on it. Starcraft has absolutely no alternate resolution support, no windowed mode support (that I was able to find, at least; I found mention of a mod, but couldn't find anywhere to download it from that didn't require you to download spyware along with it), and when I try to play the game, it gets stretched and mangled almost beyond recognition. Some people seem to be super lucky, and their displays automatically adjust and just put black bars on the side (which makes sense and is what I'm trying to get happening), but this just isn't happening for me. Furthermore, my monitor has no aspect ratio adjustment controls to fiddle with. I found some results online saying that the nVidia Control Panel (I have a 7900GS) has aspect ratio and scaling options, but I couldn't find them. I checked the control panel's help documents, and found references to these options and very clear instructions on how to access them (Control Panel > Display > Change display (flat panel) scaling), but "Change display (flat panel) scaling" isn't there. I have all the latest drivers for my monitor and my video card, as well as the most recent Starcraft patch. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
  12. Oh, so it's not just me. What's up with that server?
  13. I went into it with low expectations (past several seasons of the show have been craptacular, and I didn't think the trailer was even remotely funny), but ended up enjoying it quite a bit.
  14. I AGREE. I just beat the game yesterday morning, and man, it didn't disappoint.
  15. I rented it a while back, and liked everything but the gameplay, unfortunately. I find the alchemy system (combined with the limited inventory) to be kind of off-putting, and the actual combat is just a bit too unresponsive and repetitive for my tastes. It's a real shame, though, because I thought the art direction and music were absolutely ACE.
  16. And the only "stop" you should be selling your used "game" to is... is uh... e..eBay.
  17. That's the subtitle of the yet-to-be-announced Ace Attorney and Cops crossover. A cameraman follows Detective Gumshoe as he looks for clues on a case, tries to pay his rent, and has his credit card denied at a restaurant.
  18. I'll definitely be up for some Starcraft once I finish with finals (really, Monday is my only heavy day, so any day after that will rock). I really suck at playing competitively against other human players, though. I tend to play too much of a defensive game, which gives others plenty of time to build an army that can crush my defenses like they're nothing; I'd really love to have the opportunity to get a bit better at playing offensively. Let's MAKE IT HAPPEN... (on Tuesday or later)
  19. I think it's really, really likely that Nova will be a large part of Starcraft 2's plot. Consider this: Thrall was the main character of Warcraft Adventures, which met the same fate as Starcraft Ghost... and of course, Thrall was one of the main characters in Warcraft 3. So I, too, would be surprised if Hot Future Girl doesn't show up in Starcraft 2.
  20. Same here. So much to look forward to! EDIT: http://youtube.com/watch?v=_TR7nGISEfc Some more video, showing different 'toss units. Looks like you have a lot of control over the camera, which is a definite plus, and one of the things I was worrying about.
  21. Project Revolution, or something like that, I believe.
  22. Oh please tell me there is more where that came from, and of the actual gameplay.
