  1. I actually plan on having a shirt made. There were so many people last year who wanted to meet me, saw me there, but didn't know who I was. This year I hope to clear that up with a nice "Darangen" plastered on my shirt.
  2. Just booked my flight and got the ok for my time off work, so I'm a definate. Not that I wasn't positive before, now I'm just uhm.. super positive? And holy crap, zyko's coming!
  3. The majority of the people there don't even sleep. There's always something going on. Even the ones who do sleep don't sleep much. Unless you're pixietricks or d-lux .
  4. I'm pretty sure they have a 30 day return policy. One of the best around.
  5. I know Ailsean uses/used the Echo Mia as well, and always highly recommended it. I'm pretty sure Virt uses the Layla as well, not positive though.
  6. LuIzA is definately one of the top guitarrists in the community today. This may be her first OCR release, but she is well known in other communities as one worthy of respect. Rock on, Lu!
  7. I'm psyched, this is going to be so much fun! Seriously, save some money and make plans to attend. You won't be disappointed! That said... I need to start looking at plane tickets. Driving was a pain last year.
  8. What kind of tone are you looking for? There are a lot of different factors that contribute to your tone, the higher ones being the pickups in your guitar, and the guitar amp and settings. Think of bass as the amount of thud you want in the sound, the mids as the amount of warmth you want, and the treble as the amount of kick/attack you want. If your amp has "presence" on it, that basically makes the sound brighter or duller. That video sounds like he has a lot of bass maybe a 6 or 6(too much if you ask me, that'd never fit well into a mix), maybe a 4 on mids, and average treble.
  9. I think we should add another half-judge. Pixie is... short..
  10. Congrats to you both! That's my head on pixie's crotch! OMG
  11. I like peas.. But yeah, I guess I'm in for this. Cursed music, so freakin' good. I already kinda started a collab with Rexy on Distant Promise, not sure if she wants to do that for this project or for something else. Either way, it's ok. I like girls.
  12. I use a crappy and ancient Casio CTK-650 as my midi controller. It sucks, but it gets the job done.
  13. Remixing is a black hole. Once you get sucked in, there is no turning back.... never... ever.....
  14. The bunny farted. Oh yeah, Tauc summed it up pretty well. Practice, and when you're sick of it, practice some more.
  15. Very nice I do wish it was longer so it'd have more replayability, but it does justice to what is there.
  16. The Jerry Jones is hard to call also. I couldn't find any specs on it on the website other than the types and gauges of the strings and the fret sizes. I'd email them and find out what kind of wood they use for the body, because that can seriously affect playability and tone. I'd also recommend going to a music store that has a sitar and play around with it to make sure it's something you're willing to spend that much money on. Sitar's are cool, but how many times are you actually going to use it?
  17. From my experience with other Rogue products, it's probably a better idea to save a few more bucks and go with a better brand. Seriously, Rogue's are nightmares.
  18. I used Goldwave before my SONAR days.
  19. This song got some piano cover love from Rexy. You can check it out at my site for an mp3 or at RPGamer for the midi file.
  20. Ditto that. I can't afford CDXtract right away, but the demo is more than enough to hold me over for now. If computer music is only a hobby for you and you're not willing to shell out money for a conversion program or appropriate sampler, you shouldn't worry about high quality samples either.
  21. I'm starting to lean more towards originals now too, which means fewer and fewer Darangen remixes as time goes on. Remixing is still fun though, so I won't stop completely.
  22. I'd like to see if anyone uses roland samples and how, because the ultimate strings cd I got is roland and I'm not entirely sure how to use it. So answer Suzu's question Please.
