  1. Hey again, Got a new mix up for ya. This one is a remix of the "Tower of Ruin" song from the Chrono Cross Soundtrack (Yes another one). But this time, its much different from my previous ToR remix I did a while back. I'm kinda experimenting here, and I like what I've done so far. I don't know the exact genre this would qualify under, so I'll just leave it up to you to decide. I already know that some people will like it, while others might not, but its all good. Just as long as I can get it by the judges. Let me know what you guys think. http://www.angelfire.com/blues2/bluemagic/
  2. Heh...I thought I'd have time to post up the newest update before somebody heard that version. Yeah, that one was kinda rough, but in this update, all of that has been fixed. (I hope) I finally figured out how to use the Normalize function in Sound Forge, so my mix sounds a little bit louder now. I added a deeper pad in the intro to enhance the sound a bit. I did put an ending on this version, but I don't think I'm going to keep it though. I imagined the ending being alot better, but I just can't think of a better way right now. My mind is in a million places. My ending pretty much consists of the Vox Pads, the Voodoo Synth Pad (playing a melody that I made on accident), and the percs fading out. I used some better sounding wood drums and totally redid the section where they come in.
  3. I honestly can't remember if I did a mix of these tunes before, or not. Hopefully, I'll have the update done by Friday. Thanks for the feedback guys.
  4. Whenever ues the Sound Forge sound editor, once I save it, the actual file size becomes large as hell. On average around 14 Mb. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to the technical stuff in music, so I'm not really sure what you mean when you say adjust the RMS levels.
  5. When I'm making songs in FL 6, I try to make them as loud as possible without clipping, so that peeps can hear everything with no problems. But for some reason, whenever I try to listen to that same song in Windows Media or Sound Forge, its not really as loud as I thought it should be. I always have to turn my speakers up to hear. And that is bothering me. Like I said before, In FL Studio, I have my volume levels turned up to the point where they are really close to clipping (but never does) and I do not have the db meter set to where it peaks automatically, so it should be showing the correct overall peaks. So my question is, is there some kind of way to raise my volume leves some more and still keep from clipping, or is there something that I need to set before converting the flp file to MP3? I'm sorry if this is hard to understand, I explained it the best I know how. _________________
  6. Well, the EQing sounds a bit better now (but not yet perfect) and I added another part, but its still not finished. I added alot of things and replaced some instruments. I come to realize that I have not really been staying true to the original tunes, but I hope that wont turn anybody off. What do you guys think.
  7. Yet another crazy mix for ya. This is one of the most unique mixes I've done yet. Here, I am attempting to combine the "Stickerbush" and "HotHead Bop" themes. I also use ALOT of effects (mostly the FL delay effect). I'm trying to do this remix from just my memories, so I didn't use the original tunes. But, if somebody can find them in MP3 format, please link me. In order to combine these two themes, I had to change a few notes here and there, but you should still be able to notice the originals in there. Its a long way from being finished. I just wanted to get some feedback on it before I go further. http://www.angelfire.com/blues2/bluemagic/
  8. Holy crap this is nice!!!! Short and sweet. The only thing I have a problem with is the snare sample you used. It sounds like you are using a snare and a clap sample at the same time. I would turn down the clap sample a little bit and turn up the snare. But other than that, awesome.
  9. The bar going into the red means that there is clipping in your music. That static sound you are hearing is clipping and can damage your speakers and/or headphones. A few of the ways to reduce clipping is by lowering your volume levels, adding a Compressor, which will regulate your volume levels, or tweaking your EQ to reduce the volume of the high, mid, and low frequencies until there is a balance. Now, I'm not all that good with the technical mombo jombo of music making, but I hope that helps a little.
  10. Yeah, just a little (sorry if I sound picky). I would like Chicken Little himself to be about as tall as my sig. And I don't really care if you cut the borders a little to make it fit.
  11. Hey everybody. Sorry in advance for the big pic (just in case you have dial-up), but I was wondering, Can somebody make a smaller version of this pic for me. I would like it small enough to put on the side of my sig, yet big enough for peeps to be able to tell what and who it is. Thanks
  12. That little yellow duck is funny as hell. Is there anything else like that somewhere in the same size range? I would like to put a little something off to the side of my sig. I prefer something that is dancing. Thanks. I might give sig-making a try.
  13. Great!!! Thanks alot. By the way, can anybody tell me how you guys make these cool ass sigs? I would like to give it a try one day and stop bugging you guys.
  14. I would like a sig with Gex (One of the most overlooked Vg characters) on it. And my name somewhere in it.
  15. Love this one. When you get into it, it sorta sounds like something that would be playing during a Metal Gear Solid movie or something to that effect. Great work.
  16. I really wish I could be on this project, but I'm no where near as good as you guys. Plus, I don't think I'll have time to work on it. So I wish you guys the absolute best of luck and I can't wait to here it.
  17. Whenever I'm playing a song in FL Studio 5, and I happen to open a window to a different program or get on the internet, the song in FL starts skipping and scratching and crazy stuff like that. It doesn't effect the song I'm working on at all. Its just annoying. What could be the problem?
  18. Oh sorry. I am looking for a Rhodes and a DX-7, and whatever you guys might suggest.
  19. Wow, I haven't been in here in a while... Can anyone help me find some decent E. Piano soundfonts. I looked all over and even searched some p2p networks, but can't find anything worth keeping. HELP!!!
  20. Oh, I see... Thanks alot for your help. I'll start asking around in UnMod.
  21. Heeeeeey Nice. Thanks alot CapnHulk. Its great. But could you make it a little bit bigger plz? Now, only if someone could find that little movie I was talking about...
