  1. Go to the options tab and make sure that there is a check mark by the "Enable Midi Output," "Enable Midi Master Sync," and "Enable Midi Remote Control." Do that and what OverCoat suggested, and it should work. But be advised, there might be some note timing issues.
  2. LOL...As soon as I noticed that you actually quoted the picture, I knew where you wanted to go with it...I was thinking the exact same thing.
  3. Well different strokes for different folks I guess. Since FL Studio is the program he experimented first, and it is also one of the "easier" studio programs to use, I suggested that he start with it, and build upon the knowledge he obtained in the short time he used it. Then, of course, he can move on to bigger, better programs, recording software, and whatnot if he chooses to do so. Snapple, you have to understand that not everybody takes music and remixing as seriously. And you don't have to be that musically inclined, to produce a great piece of music. Also, while I'm at it Metal, you should keep one thing in mind as you create your music, it is damn near IMPOSSIBLE to please everyone! There is always someone that will not like the lead you use, or the way you pan your instruments, or whatever.
  4. Id say, Fruity Loops is a good place to start working with music. You have to just get in there and experiment with it until you get good at it. Just don't give up. Post up your WIPs and use the feedback that you get on them to make them better. You don't really have to know all of the technical stuff about music to create music that sounds somewhat decent. Hell, I don't really know anything at all about music myself. I wouldn't know a C note if it walked up and kicked me in the balls. When making music, do what you think is right, what sounds good to you, and then use the feedback from other, more experienced, remixers to make your music sound even better.
  5. Do you play Socom 3 CA? If so, whats your screen name?
  6. Its pretty much the same, laid back style that I always remix in. Its not really an electronic style like this song here. I can e-mail you a snippet of the actual WIP that I'm working on if you like.
  7. Blah!! I suck at electronic music. And I already had a song in mind from the SA2 track. Oh well...
  8. Lynx just kicks too much ass. By the way, that dog in your sig makes me laugh every time is see it.
  9. What might happen? What WILL happen. There is always going to be some narrow-minded asshole that starts trouble, and he or she will convince others to think the same way.
  10. Why do you care about what they think anyway? If you like VG music, listen to it.
  11. Ya know, you didn't have to make a second thread. Just update the first one. I really like the groove you set up here, but its kinda repetitive at first. The only thing I don't really like is the beginning. The distorted stuff you got going on doesn't really fit well with the style you are going for.
  12. Well, if you plan on collecting soundfonts, there are three soundfont unpacking programs you need. SfArk, SFPack, WinRAR, and maybe WinZIP (I'm not sure if people use that for soundfonts). I'm thinking the file that you are having trouble with might be a RAR file. Once you have all three programs installed, you should be able to just click on the file and the appropriate program will open to unpack them.
  13. This project idea sounds like a damn fine idea, but since there are already so many projects going, its probably gonna take a while to get enough people interested. Could it be possible for the project to cover both SA1 and SA2?
  14. Hi-hats aside, I love what you have so far. Nice and soothing. I would like to hear more of the original melody in there, but thats just me. There are a few things you could tweak here and there as far as the EQing. And the 808 bass drum that comes in at 1:36 just doesn't sound too great to me. Its kinda buzzy. I would also like to hear some better string and drum samples. Other that those gripes I mentioned, everything is lovely. I can't wait until its finished.
  15. Check here: http://www.naturalstudio.co.uk/sampled.html The ns7 kit is the best acoustic drumset I've found so far.
  16. Thanks Bundeslang. Here is my FLMC5 mix. I will submit it as a BONUS TRACK, so it does not have to be judged. (Heck, I already know I wont win anyway) http://www.angelfire.com/blues2/bluemagic/
  17. DAMMIT!!!!!!!!! I forgot to submit my sooooonnnggg!!!!!!!! I've been hella busy lately. But its all good, it wasn't completed anyway. I guess I can work on it some more and make an OCR submission out of it. Good luck to all of you guys who took place.
  18. >.< I don't think thats the kinda workout he had in mind. But, I like the way you think though.
  19. The Clay Fighters series. I hated the games, but I couldn't stop playing them because they were so funny. I honestly don't remember beating any of them either.
  20. I'm ahamed to admit this, but when I was little (about 7 or I tried to stomp on a turtle and make him come shooting out of his shell. I also kicked another turtle at a wall to see how far he would bounce back, but he didn't bounce very far. There were no turtles hurt in this little adventure, so don't worry. So, can you guess what game I was playing too much of at the time?
  21. I think I will be switching over from FL to Reason soon...
  22. Not really a big issue but, how come the "Judges Decisions" forum hasn't been updated recently?
