OCR Mascots: Class of Winter 2015 - Voting Closed
The Coop replied to Liontamer's topic in General Discussion
Aaaawwwwwww, but that'll ruin the fun! All anyone has to do is go into their User Control Panel (User CP) along the top, click on "Edit Options," and scroll down to "Thread Display Options." Pick "Linear - Oldest First," and presto... done. It'll take them all of twenty seconds, and then their life will be filled with joy, kittens, and only occasional irregularity -

Vengeful Chip - A video game music collection in FLAC.
The Coop replied to andoru's topic in General Discussion
I knew I forgot about something. I got sick a week ago and it kicked my ass. I already have the add-on in Firefox, so that isn't the issue. I tried several other times before I got sick, and it just never finished. Today, when I got the notification for this thread, I tried again, and after some fifteen minutes, the download finally finished that last 1%. So something's still screwy, but at least it finished this time. -

http://steamcommunity.com/games/RedFactionGuerrilla/announcements/detail/168086566375667735 Well, if it still sparks your interest, there's a list of all of the updates and changes they made in creating the "Steam Edition."
-
They did a while back. It was part of their "On The House" thing for about a week or thereabouts. If anyone likes pinball games, half of the Pinball FX2 lineup is 66% off at the moment. Also, the Steam edition of Red Faction: Guerrilla is $2.99 until later today.

Ah, my first stab at being project director. Lots of PMs, lots of bugging people... FUN! First, a "thanks" to Dyne for entrusting me with his baby. He could have asked any number of other people who had a lot more experience than me with stuff like this, but he took a chance and let me take the wheel. Thankfully, I didn't steer it into the wall on the final turn. Another "thanks" to everyone who came through for the album. It turned out pretty spiffy if I do say so myself, and you guys all did a great job. And for a change, my track isn't drastically quieter than everyone else's And finally, a "thanks" to the orphans for not leaving a bloodbath in the wake of this project. That's always a plus. Hope you all enjoy it, and Merry Christmas!

I know the feeling. Mine's screwy since it comes off as improve jazz, and trying to give it some structure in a different genre isn't proving to be an easy task.

Cool idea, but Mega never finishes the downloads. It stops at 99% and then just sits there until you get tired of waiting and close the browser window. I've tried seven times to download the MT-32 version of the Castlevania X68000 music, with the seventh time sitting at 99% for over three hours while I did other work, before I gave up. Am I the only one having this issue? -
A bit of a necro bump to say the project's done, and I've put everything in Dyne's hands for the website page making business. And now, we wait.

You can use my remixes on OCR, or the updated ones I have on my YouTube channel (links to the MP3s are in the video descriptions)... https://www.youtube.com/user/TheCoopOCR/videos

Yeah, 10 seconds is probably a bit too short But don't worry about not having the time this time. Shit happens, and there's always next year. So, with all the tracks in, all that's left to say is a big "THANKS!" to all those who submitted a song for this year's album. I'll be listening to them all this evening and choosing a track order, typing all that up, etc., and they'll be in Dyne's virtual hands tomorrow evening. So kudos to those who got a song done, and a "thanks for trying" to those who gave it a shot, but couldn't get the time/idea to bring their entry to fruition.

You see that kid, and all the eyes behind him watching you? He's come to inform you that more remixes are desired. And should they not be delivered within the next three and a half hours, things will begin to go downhill rather swiftly. So unless you like the idea of vanishing and your bodies being disposed of in unknown ways by orphans, you better get a move on... because I don't think crying is what they're going to do anymore
-
Putting this here since Rexy's inbox is full... AGAIN! There they are. Did you think I was joking? All the orphans waiting for you to give them the music they're hungry far. Don't they look sad? Don't they look downtrodden? And only you can give them what they long for. And so we reach the final 24 hours before the deadline. It's been a busy two and a half months for us all, but we're heading into the final turn, trying to avoid going into the wall. I know rubbin's racin', but do you want to chance rubbin' those orphans? Who knows what those filthy li- er, I mean deprived children would do if they were sent to bed with no remixes. Cry? Go insane and hack up everyone within a five block radius? And would you go to jail for rubbin' them? Don't tempt fate, good remixers of OCR. Send your remixes to me before 11:59 P.M. on December 18th, 2014, and keep Christmas alive for those orphans! Keep hope alive in their hearts! Keep anyone from being chopped up and stuffed into a duffel bag! - TC P.S. No, that's not a typo. I have to be out and about for a good portion of the 17th, which means not much time to listen to the songs and make an order for them. So, I'm passing those savings on to you! So now you've got an extra 24 hours before the orphans go apeshit... maybe. They might just sob a little and go to sleep, but do you really want to chance it? Hmmmmm?
-
It's early December 16th, folks. We've got just under two days left. With five songs done and turned in, and my own song on the final stretch, we've got six tunes... and two of them came out of nowhere from someone who hadn't announced they were doing one. That means only four of the lovely people who signed on have handed something in. We can't let the good (and bad) boys and girls down, can we? We can't have the smallest album in this franchise's history with so many saying they would be doing one, can we? NO I SAY! So those of you who still haven't turned anything in, think of all the crying children, teenagers, and adults who will be left sobbing because we only had six songs. Their sadness... their pain... their undying and burning hatred that will eventually turn them into world dominating tyrants, hellbent on ending music because they were denied the joy of more Christmas remixes! ... Unless that kind of thing turns you on, then don't imagine it you weirdo! I'll be sending out reminders this evening to all those who signed up, with images of musicless orphans in need of someone to give them their once a year moment of joy. So do it for the orphans; for the posters of OCR; for the millions (crowd chants "AND MILLIONS!") of people who grab the albums, but say nothing. Hell, do it for me so that I don't look like a failure on my first outing as a project head! In other words... JUST DO IT™ This message has been brought to you by the number 3, the letter C, and Lurch of Ladder Day Paints, who's celebrating his 50th year of providing inexpensive supplies for all your home painting needs for that odd Canadian holiday in question.

Hmmmm... I wonder if "The Submerged City" would work as a piano piece. With my stint as project head for the next AOCC album nearing its end, I should be able to give it a try. Unless of course, I'm not allowed to play in this reindeer game

What was the first video game song you learned to play?
The Coop replied to duskvstweak's topic in General Discussion
Not 100% sure, but I believe it was the stage one theme from the Genesis version of Ghouls 'N Ghosts. That, or "A Requiem" from Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. Either way, it was on my K-Mart bought, half sized keys keyboard that I still have.
