I've been saying this: The storybook is what makes this project unique. Releasing the music now just turns it into "any old remix collection" like Metroid/DKC/Doom etc, not that those are bad, but this could be special Please don't get impatient.

So it runs VST, but not VST coded on Windows? I'm either confused or that's very retarded. How is there a difference? There is a conversion AU or something, yes? How about on the new intel macs? Is there even a difference? But it seems weird that a Steinberg technology would not run on certain versions of Cubase. @_@

Cubase runs VSTi, so look for sfz at least, I'm hoping it runs VSTi on a mac, but come on, it's Cubase. I thought it supported soundfonts out of the box, but whatever.

try moving the plugins to the steinberg/vst plugins directory I highly recommend storing your samples and VST/DX outside the FL Studio install directory. I don't even have to tell you why, it's just better if you use more than one program, or even just FL, so they're a lot easier to find. For example, all my VSTs and DXs are in C:\VST-DX\

The way I see it, it's Japan with the NSF, and Europe with the SID. Notice a lot of artists on KWED are european, like Machinae Supremacy and stuff :3 I'm looking to make .sid files also, I have a C64 emulator but I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO

the chiptune community is... well I dunno about large, but there are a few standout artists, a lot from Japan, they probably hang out on 2chan.

Unless you want to write .nsf files, and better control over the sounds. Though I am unsure how far he wants to go with this. I've had people ask me this before, though it turned out they just wanted the mario coin sound or whatever for their average 3-chord rock band. I guess peach and toad are fine for that sort of thing.

I made a thread about Craptracker II a few days ago It's completely online though, however there is an URL provided for sharing.

That synth you hear is created via the SID Chip, the Commodore 64's sound chip. It has a very unique and cool sound. So you can make stuff like this, though this song has live guitar and drums on top of the synths I assume they have so many Last Ninja/Comic bakery/whatever songs is because those are the big C64 titles.

I have found few actual children's choir samples. I have a bunch of sampled choir vowels from children that I found in 2001 on findsounds.com, however they are incredibly terrible.

You can't choose how many bits to work in with FL Studio. The program lets you figure that out when you export to wav or mp3.

Work in 16-bit then. You should only be working in 24-bit if you're doing, like... DVD audio?

Hahah what? Who the fuck is "Everyone?" and why is it restrictive compared to Reason? You can move to Reason, but you will probably miss QLSO. Cubase will handle QLSO great, though. As for this polyphony stuff... I was right about there being polyphony options, but for some reason they're under the DFD options?
