  1. When I try to view this thread here, I get this error: This is another good argument against having one gigantic thread for any broad topic [PS3/Wii/Xbox/Videos/etc]. They eventually get so large that vB can't even load them. I would suggest that it's time for a new thread, Larry.
  2. As usual, no thoughts from OCR. At least, not until I start whining about the lack of feedback
  3. New lofi idm album for you guys, featuring Skrypnyk and Hollowtone Click the picture to download
  4. Just in case y'all don't know, I'm using ThaSauce for free music pimping now, and I like the weekly format better. I dunno if I wanna continue this thread anymore because nobody's using it but me, so I'm just gonna post a weekly column on ThaSauce for free music every Sunday night. There's already 3, and here's the latest one.
  5. http://www.mono211.com/content/releases/mtkmp179.html mmmmmmmmm troupe
  6. No. I got the Megadrive version for $2.99 at a thrift store as seen here.
  7. I don't even know if mine's been mailed yet, though it's been charged to my bank account so it must be on its way.
  8. Hooray, new ansi! <li class="release"> ansi038) ] qetoret (gong fog) [15.6 MB | 16:15] at 39 releases and counting, we're still considerably young in the scheme of things, and we're glad to slowly broaden our collective's aesthetic scope with tracks such as "qetoret (gong fog)". this superficially sparse but fascinatingly layered piece is one of a select few in our catalogue to feature discernible vocal elements, however incomprehensible.
  9. You can configure midi parameters in FL Studio, though I forget how. Aftertouch is possible though.
  10. A basic setup to get used to everything? I could see you using Reason or something like that. All the synths and sounds you need [for right now!] are included in the package when you buy it, and it's one of the simpler things to learn out there on the market while still not being limited too much. I think that's the main reason it's so popular. Also, Reason 4 is not too far away and the Reason Fanboy Legion assures me it's going to be a huge improvement over the current version. edit: also, choose your own destiny [lol]! If you don't like Reason there are other options.
  11. Okay. Here's what the NES can actually do.
  12. this doesn't remind me of the NES at all :[ also, lol stereo
  13. also: ITT soc replies to stupid shit with image macros
  14. EQ is probably the most effective... effect, but compositionally you could layer the pad in octaves... whatever you call it...add moar harmonies
  15. You're not going to get anything similar unless you shell out the monies. QL RA has a pretty awesome bagpipe instrument, I don't think there's anything else of higher quality sans the real thing. After I got RA I played with that sample for an hour or so
  16. Yay, this thread has 200 posts Date Release Id File info Artist Title 05/08/07 mtk.mp3.188 [11 tracks, 42 minutes, 57.3mb] Ckid 'Down With Ghosts' Message>> We're delighted to welcome back René 'Ckid' Margraff, the German electronic artist who released on Monotonik back in 2000 (as Crashkid) and 2001, and went on to notable physical releases on Becalmed and Duotone Records, back to the label with a beautifully formed, evocative full-length album, 'Down With Ghosts'. Full of chanted and whispered vocals and an evocative, almost shoegaze-centric attitude to idm/electronics, 'Down With Ghosts' starts with the semi-conscious drawl of 'From A To Z', before the title track crosses subtle beats with drifting vocals, and things flow swiftly on. Some of the other highlights include 'Even Smaller', which verges on decidedly funereal, paranoid pop music, and 'Blink', which swirls in layers and layers of vocals, melodies, and indecision, and multiple switches back to the 'Ghosts' formula, with the final one adding vocals, guitars, and vocoders to the mix. This is a mature, sophisticated, and wholly formed album, and we're very pleased to put it out. Download Ckid's 'Down With Ghosts' from: 1. "From A To Z" - (d/l archive.org support.nl scene.org) 2.
