  1. If you keep it to yourself, nobody will bother you about downloading the official soundtrack. For older stuff though the formats like .nsf and .vgm etc, go nuts. You can make music for free. Check here to see what you can get for 0円
  2. If you're too lazy to try out the demos, how are you not too lazy to make music? Also it's good that you're cheap, because ProTools sucks. Split up the recording and/or the waveform into smaller, manageable parts. Probably saves HDD space too.
  3. I will take the submissions unless Xaleph wants to take them himself. Though I doubt he really wants to. e-mail or PM me a link to your entry when you finish. Not really too many rules. It's a freestyle allgear compo, just has to fit the Halloween theme. mp3 or ogg is fine.
  4. Please see the original thread for more details This is unarguably the biggest compo of the year for AR. We've been doing it for a few years now, and it's always a whole lot of fun, and actually produces content for the site :V something we need. Though lately we've gotten great material from DistantJ and Electric Concerto. Also, I realize that a lot of you still probably don't know what Anime Remix is [it is not in the OCR links page anywhere? I was sure it was]. This is a website Xaleph and I run that's all about remixing anime music. Simply put, the OCR of anime music. I BESEECH THEE, come check out our tunes and participate in the compo! It ends October 21st, to give us 10 days to listen to the tracks before Halloween. ooooohohohohoho :V
  5. Ah, this is the sequel to the AMV that put one of my Deus Ex remixes to footage of Deus Ex/Ghost in the Shell? Because that was awesomely executed and very flattering :3 Thanks again for that
  6. You're like the 5th person this week to post your music in the wrong place why don't we just get rid of the ReMixing board
  7. You can export midi with Modplug Tracker. It'll suck, especially if the samples are transposed and tracked with this in mind [this happens!], but the note intervals will at least be correct, so that's good enough I suppose.
  8. I just took a picture of the other half of my studio. The TODO BOARD! This is actually just directly to the left of the other picture I posted before.
  9. FM is a type of synthesis. Basically what the Genesis/MegaDrive used to get its unique sound. The old Adlib cards for PCs back in the early '90s is another good example. Also, a chipdisk is basically a musicdisk with chiptunes on it. Here's another example of a chipdisk. p.s. will plug this on my Free Shit column when ThaSauce comes back up!
  10. You know what, there's a simple solution to this! Set loop points on a soft cymbal hit, then set the loop mode to "ping-pong."
  11. Lock'd, Goez In "thank You" Suparthred Which Duz Not Load In Hybrid Mode Lulz
  12. I don't see how this is possible. A monitor doesn't have control over anything besides itself, and it's not like screensavers run in a different resolution, and if they did a new monitor would support it. The only workaround is... turning your monitor off when you don't use it. Works for me
  13. Necros? I think he had a song in Unreal Isotoxin.umx. Though there's the original .s3m version which has a longer intro and is just generally better. Oh Necris
  14. Okay Does anyone know how to download demos for anything anymore? Jesus fucking christ. Also you forgot to list Renoise, which is the obvious best choice for music composition.
  15. It's called XMPlay and it's the best thing to happen to your music library. What do you mean "ate?" Like, you can't add new files to your library? I have no idea why it would do that.
  16. I would recommend showing us a screenshot of the game. I think some people around here can read Japanese.
  17. Why bother asking us when you can easily do this yourself? Considering that Psycle is free and all! In this case, the only one who can figure out if it's right for you is yourself
  18. Unlike a lot of handles I see, "sephire" isn't totally fucking dumb. Keep it.
  19. Congrats on 50 releases! Again a nice track as always.
  20. Here you go guys. Beatslaughter linked this to me: http://www.thebustydozen.com/ contains: 196MB Film score samples (44.1kHz, 24 bit wav) 259MB Kontakt instruments (44.1kHz, 16 bit wav) 6MB Battery kits (44.1kHz, 16 bit wav) 91MB Loops in Rex and Acid format (44.1kHz, 16 bit) 3MB One shots (44.1kHz, 16 bit wav) I don't know the quality of these since I haven't tried it, but it's free and free is good
