This is just a little ditty I whipped up today, it's a lo-fi psychedelic/minimal wave(ish) kinda rendition of Brinstar (red soil). It wasn't easy making super metroid even darker and lonelier but I gave it a pretty good shot. I sincerely doubt there are very many remixes like it on this site and therefore I doubt many of you will like or get it but any feedback is welcome. http://soundcloud.com/annelid/annelid-brinstar-tripping I kinda imagine it'd be what it was like if Samus stopped shooting all them metroids for a while and just sat down and ate some brinstar mushies with those animal friends that teach her how to shinepark. Oh yeah and I should mention a bit about the recording process, Recorded on an 8 track cassette tape machine, had to turn dbx noise cancellation on so it does some weird compressing things with the drum sounds sometimes. I put delay on literally everything some things got extreme delay others subtle. The drums are a briefcase and a plastic toolbox covered with a beach towel and they actually sound amazing dry without any effects (recorded with an sm57) Synth is a roland RS-09

I have been busy with school and all that for some time now & this is my first "complete" wip in quite a while. I still do looping music mostly (vg purposes, and cause I like it), this is one of them. This piece is a WiP piece from Mario RPG. It ends pretty abruptly as it's part of a Mario Medley I'm working on. All of my works consist of obtaining sheet music and sticking to all the original notations via FL Studio's Piano roll and Edirol Orchestral (which I do by hand, no midi tracks). wip FFVI: Savage Nightmare (Another World of Beasts)

Here's my first attempt at a solo mix. The concept: Guy goes to sleep in haunted house. Guy starts having a creepy dream. Dream becomes nightmare. Nightmare fills with all his greatest fears. Oh, and monsters. Guy can't wake up. Guy is trapped in nightmare. Eternal terror and torment forever. It's a bit rough around the edges, but the motifs are in place, and since I'm so new to all of this, I don't want to finish it and have it unsalvageable due to crappy mixing, mastering, or arrangement. So I've uploaded it in a fairly raw form with the hope that any of you more experienced people can hear things I'm totally overlooking before I get too far in. I know the samples are bad, but I'm working with free samples exclusively at the moment. There's a couple of peaks in there, too, that I haven't been able to work out yet. Also, the source and mix are both in 7/8, so yes, it sounds weird/awesome. Thanks!! Mix -
Speeeven, Modus, and I are working on this remix. We're all new to this, and we're learning a lot from one another. It's been a fun collab so far Speeeven is working on his orchestral segment, and Modus is having crippling computer problems. As such, this is all we have so far: my chippy, "part A" intro. This will lead into a totally modern, electro-orchestral sort of thing, if all goes well. This is basically my first crack at remixing, and I think it went pretty well. I can't afford any new equipment so please help me make the best out of what I have.

Remix. I'll probably need to re-record the entire intro solo guitar because it has some input clipping and some sloppy parts I'm not entirely happy with. Also, the intro is original/semi-improvized for the most part so don't bother looking for a source connection just yet lol. I like the bleach OST Edit: it's not done yet so there will be another minute or two for me to put source material in.

http://www.tindeck.com/listen/lmsl (main)source The premise for this mix was that I tried to imagine what kind of opening theme Chrono Trigger would have if it was a futuristic mecha anime. Wings of Time is the main source but there's a lot of other songs in there. (battle theme, main theme, zeal) Vocals are sort of placeholder/cut+paste since synthesizing them takes a shitton of effort. Specific production crits are very welcome because my ears are tired as hell by now, so I miss a lot of stuff.
