  1. Original: http://youtu.be/Pim1s_DBR64 My Remix (feat. the one and only FamilyJules7x) http://youtu.be/cZzwSAYRpq8
  2. Hi everyone - I'm working up my portfolio of original music and made this 8bit/NES style track. Would like to hear feedback from anyone. https://soundcloud.com/tyler-river-1/bullethell-8bitfrenzy The rest of my originals are here if anyone is interested: http://videogamemusicremixes.weebly.com/portfolio.html
  3. RichaadEB and I team up to give this song the proper treatment. Complete with 15/16 intro!
  4. Really qanted to take listeners on a ride. Video shows everything thats going on for the most part. Hope yall enjoy!
  5. Just finished up another track from Final Fantasy VI. I'm working towards remastering/Remixing/Covering the whole album. How much I change depends on the track, and for this one I added a bunch of new contrapuntal lines to the melody. Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/tyler-river-1/ffvi-forever-rachel For the others in my FFVI playlist, go here: I'm working through this music to help me learn new tools for sampling and synths so I would say that there's some inconsistency overall, but a few gems in there too!
  6. This is a track based on FFVI Phantom Forest: Feedback is always very welcome
  7. Working on the whole FFVI soundtrack right now and I jusy finished this one up today. Mostly a cover but I added a number of lines and changed up orchestration quite a bit. Would love to hear what you all think: For the other FFVI tracks, here's a playlist:
  8. First attempt ever at remixing VGM, no clue why it took this long because I love it and was so influenced by it. Welp here is some Banjo-Kazooie goodness, isn't perfect but please tell me what you think! Been lurking here for years; I've decided to finally poke my head in and get involved. Thanks for listening! https://soundcloud.com/shoveknack/pimp-slap-your-jinjo
  9. Pretty straightforward but I'm trying to actually make things now that would be somewhat digestible to regular humans instead of wanting to destroy people musically. People don't want to be destroyed musically if they've never heard of you, it seems. The struggle is real! Thanks for listening! https://soundcloud.com/shoveknack/center-for-ants
  10. Edit: new link: Hi! A bit late to the bandwagon, just got Shovel Knight and it's amazing soundtrack a few weeks back. Here's a bass-heavy electronic remix combining the tracks "Strike the Earth!" and "An Underlying Problem". Sources: https://virt.bandcamp.com/track/strike-the-earth-plains-of-passage https://virt.bandcamp.com/track/an-underlying-problem-the-lost-city If anyone has any comments, I'd love to hear them. I'll put the final version out on Monday evening (going on a holiday). I can take any feedback into consideration before that. (Not going to submit as an OCRemix - the structure is probably a bit too odd for that, and it follows the original melodies pretty closely.)
  11. https://soundcloud.com/kekopro/one-spirit This one was very interesting; the client wanted a piece to represent five members of a family. They wanted five segments devoted to the personalities of each, with a recurring melody throughout to tie them together. They also wanted the song to incorporate both Japanese/East Asian and Irish influences, as those are the two cultures the family is supposed to be based on (it ended up leaning more heavily on the Asian side; guess that's just where I gravitated stylistically). Anyway, it was a good exercise ended up being a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for listening!
  12. I plan to submit this but first I wanted to drop this here for people to hear. Opinions, comments and suggestions are welcomed and greatly appreciated! https://soundcloud.com/lime-trees/sapphire-rain
  13. Hey everyone, Just finished this cover of the Prelude in its first complete form in FF4. Would love to hear any feedback that you have!
  14. I've wanted to work on this track for a long time, but after starting an arrangement I realised the content of the actual mix is fairly thin so I decided to make a hybrid of a piano cover and a usual orchestral arrangement. The percussion was really the main focus for the second part so the rest of the arrangement is slightly too thick in some places and too thin in others, but I feel like the original shines through quite nicely. Also first time using a trumpet so if it sounds a little forced it's because I haven't gotten used to writing for it yet.
  15. Not different enough to submit it to the site, but i had a ton of fun making this: What do you think :3?
  16. Been working on this one for a few days. Tried to stick pretty closely to the original tempo and work around it.
  17. Hey guys, just wanted to share an original track I've been working on for awhile called Frozen White. I've been having a lot of trouble creatively lately, and haven't felt very inspired, so it's nice to finally have something to share again! It's a bit on the chilly (heh) side, with a bright piano playing the lead. Check it out! Comments, critiques and all that are always welcome.
  18. hey everyone, just thought i'd post this mix i've been messing around with for a little while. Originally it was a medieval reinterpretation of SA's Flag In The Ground but I ended up adding a few things to it over time. Production wise I really tried to emulate some layered reverb techniques found in Soule's Elder Scrolls OST's. A short time ago I asked him about how he approaches using reverb and he said to just treat it like mic placements so, using a bunch of reverb instances, i emulated various mic placements in the soundscape i was trying to set up. Enjoy!
  19. https://soundcloud.com/kekopro/aegis This is a theme for someone bred for brutal, mindless warfare but who ends up discovering and then fighting for his own passions and beliefs. Your thoughts are kindly and greatly appreciated!
  20. https://soundcloud.com/williamthurin/seven-sins-struggle Might be a bit too much going at some parts, what do you think?
  21. https://soundcloud.com/skoshu/its-just-a-model done with nusofting plugs which were on sale, the accordeon is genius
  22. https://soundcloud.com/air3s/air-a-nova I'm going Brazilian peoples I’v always enjoyed the Latin sound, especially the bossa and samba sounds. For this record, I wanted to integrate those sounds with my own twist.
  23. Hi, this is my first post here but i've been making vgm remixes for a few years now. Would love some feedback about this remix from Donkey Kong Country 2: https://soundcloud.com/sunn-5/hothead-bop-fantasy-flow-mix
  24. http://youtu.be/QizEZZ5D3vU Hey all, here's the latest. One of my earliest favorites, hope you like it!
  25. Hey, YoungProdigy here. I recently composed "The Final Stage". This song was inspired by the music in the classic Mega Man games. It could probably fit as a Wily stage theme. You can listen to it here: https://soundcloud.com/youngprodigymusic/young-prodigy-the-final-stage As always; critique is welcome.
