DrumUltimA Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 That seems really cool, it's like a physical Max MSP. I want to play! Quote
The Damned Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Isn't this like.. two years old or something? I've seen this video at least a few times. If not this exact one, then one just like it. Nothing new. Quote
BardicKnowledge Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 The electronic music club at ISU built one, and while it's fun to play around with, it is pretty gimmicky -- still, it's a neat attempt to create a new musical instrument! Quote
Moseph Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Looks like it would potentially be very useful in a school setting for teaching students about synthesizers. Quote
CC Ricers Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 That seems really cool, it's like a physical Max MSP. I want to play! Or a physical Buzzmachines. But I still think this is a solution looking for a problem. Quote
RoeTaKa Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Yeah this is way old, I remember posting a thread on this over a year ago. Quote
Hausdog Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 It's new to me... Anyway, I think it looks difficult as hell to play, and while I like the idea of being able to make basically any sound, you're pretty limited by having only two hands and only being able to work with 8th notes. Still, it could be good performance art if you have a couple of people on one. Quote
kamoh Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 This was posted a while back, including the hexagon reactable or whatever. Quote
Broken Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 This is pretty cool. I've never seen anything like it before. It kind of reminds me of those interactive table desktops, though. Quote
