Cottus and Gyes
I've decided that Plug Man's stage is the easiest. Nomnomnom Heavy Metal achievement (thats the no buster one right?). p.s. This shit is a lot harder than MMX1-4, the only MM games I have played.
Drack
Which stage do you choose for Bunny Hop? I tried Concrete Man's stage, using Rush Jet lots to avoid having to jump so much, still didn't get it.
Imagist
Oh man. I demolished Galaxy Man and Splash Woman, and now I've been dying repeatedly on every other stage (not even getting to the bosses to figure out who's weak to what I've got). But oh man is it so much fun.
LuketheXjesse
Just got the game a minute ago. Must say its awesome. However I only did splash woman's stage so far. Why? I bought Super Mario RPG at the same time and had to relive the magic. I haven't seen Bass yet, but I doubt he's in there, as in my experience his very name is innappropriate! Must say I like your Bass theme and thanks

Those two were my first conquests as well. As far as weaknesses go for your weapons, = Spoiler? = Jewel Man is VERY weak to Galaxy Man's weapon. That weapon also really helps against Hornet Man (though he's not weak to it), just switch to buster after sucking up the bees. Concrete Man is weak to Splash Woman's weapon. = End Spoiler =
LuketheXjesse
This shit is a lot harder than MMX1-4, the only MM games I have played. Those weren't that bad to begin with if you had skill. 'cept for maybe X3. Played X2 on an emulator and I must say it was a joke.

Played X2 on an emulator and I must say it was a joke. Its funny, I keep on trying to: slide, wall jump, charge my shots, and preform the infamous Nova move from X4 which was complete bullshit... I loved it
Global-Trance
Yea I'm a little miffed about this being number 9 and Mega Man forgets how to charge shot and slide... I still love it but come on.
Imagist
But they totally explained that at the beginning! "Be careful! It's been a while since you've done this!" (or whatever) P.S.: NOW I've only got 3 Robot Masters to go. Tornado Man's stage is terrible.

I still love it but come on. The point is to be just like the classic games. Although I must agree it sort've is BS. Also everybody, notice that EVERYONE on OCR has posted here? It seems that Mega Man is UNIVERSALLY liked. It's almost blasphemy not to like Mega Man from the looks of it.

Thats my favorite stage Granted I haven't hit Wily yet (assuming he is the last boss... like usual).
DarkeSword
The point is to be just like the classic games. Although I must agree it sort've is BS. There were SIX Classic series games on the NES. FOUR of them had charging and sliding.

Wow, I hadn't noticed this thread racking up 22114 posts... one for every registered member... oh, and then some, because many people have posted more than once! Man, what a massive thread! Dopple Boppler
There were SIX Classic series games on the NES.FOUR of them had charging and sliding. Missing sliding I can understand (I know I sure do), but charging? Yeah, not so much. From Mega Man 4 on it was like just keep your buster constantly charged lest you want to frook yourself over. Seemed really needless to me and took away from the whole experience, which is a big reason why I stopped liking the games after 3. I am glad that Proto Man is getting both those techniques though, just for the sake of making the same game play completely different. LuketheXjesse
There were SIX Classic series games on the NES. I think MM9 is trying to be like Mega Man 2 since it's the most popular. I mean 3 or 4 tracks came straight from MM2. And Wily's castle looks a lot like MM2's. And we already mentioned no charging/sliding (i.e. MM2). LuketheXjesse
Anyone try beating all the robot masters with just the mega buster?
Arek the Absolute
Anyone try beating all the robot masters with just the mega buster? friend called me up yesterday and told me he did and when i did not believe him he proceeded to come over and show me i was not pleased by his dodging of almost everything
ZeroBass.Exe
Anyone else notice that the bubble riding part in Splash Womans stage was taken straight out of Wave Man's stage in MM5? They even used the exact same patterns for the first two screens!
Zephyr
I've only beaten galaxy man and jewel man right now, I beat galaxy man buster only, and I'm positive I could beat concrete man with just the buster. Shock man would be tougher, but once you get a pattern down it would be do-able. Also, just got the no damage challenge on concrete man's level. LuketheXjesse
i was not pleased by his dodging of almost everything Let's not get carried away. I'm not THAT good. I had to replay every stage once or twice because of my trying to be hardcore And doing it with Plug Man is just plain intimidating (at first)
BardicKnowledge
There were SIX Classic series games on the NES.FOUR of them had charging and sliding. Actually, MM3 doesn't have charge, so only three have charging. I'd rather have sliding back, personally -- I guess when Protoman comes out in a couple weeks, I'll get my wish. Bleck
I'm only getting this once the Proto Man pack comes out
