It got old for me in roughly 1994, after Doom 2. The server screwups are also going to screw over the game. Private servers? What are those?! Passwords? HA! Not if the matchmaking service is used!

I was on just a bit ago, but combined choppy framerate and lag made me leave and play Left 4 Dead. OCR server was pretty full for a while, but you can tell everyone's preoccupied with Left 4 Dead.

And I know this isn't the Left 4 Dead topic, but I feel I must ask you Zephyr: Why not? What about it didn't feel right to ya? Powerlord: I, too, absolutely hate their lack of servers. I swear, it's like there are 10 decent ones and 8 of them are unplayable due to lag.
Brushfire Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I had a load of fun with Blind Intel Tag today. For those who didn't see it, BIT is a game where the person carrying the intel is blinded and has to navigate back to the cap point via "hot" or "cold" call outs from his team.

Yes yes, I want those so badly! Maybe the 10th is the announcer? Wonder if there is any meaning to that, wouldn't be the first time Valve has teased us with something only to make it a reality later (Pyro's Flare Gun and Sandvich to name some off the top of my head).

Also, since Insomniac essentially said tonight that we're not getting a fixed version of cp_downtown from him, and decompiling maps is a hit or miss process, I propose removing it from the rotation.

I am completely pissed at the only internet provider on base. I hate this place sometimes. I will be on tomorrow, base infrastructure be damned!!

I think people might become tired/bored of that quickly.
