Murmeli Walan
I'm going to be there at Otakon. It'll be my second year of attending, and I'm just as excited for this year's OCR panel as I was for last year's. I introduced two of my friends to OCR that year and made fans out of them. Here's hoping for more.
Dyne
I'm registered, and will be at the panel as I've been for the last two years. The OCR panel is one of two panels that I enjoy going to. The other being "Dub Actors after Dark". I can't talk about it. Nobody should EVER talk about it. You just have to experience it. Trust me. Kizyr
Any word yet on when the panel will be? I'm still waiting to hear about acceptance/confirmation of a panel I'm co-hosting, so I'd imagine they're still a little ways away from fixing the schedule. I seem to remember last year it was a bit of a last-minute thing. KF
Ninja-san
I'll be at Otakon as usual. Wasn't able to see the panel last time but i should this year
Rubedo Alaberti
I'm definitely going - a chance to meet Crispin Freeman *and* OC Remixers? Wouldn't miss it for the word.
Ferret
Missing Otakon two years running kinda sucks, but it can't be helped. Punch a narutard for me!
Dyne
My plan for Otakon, as I probably stated before, is as thus: 1) attend the OCR Panel, 2) attend dub actors after dark panel (must be 18 to attend, wrist band required!) and 3) whatever else there is to do at the time. Jillian Aversa
Wish we could make it... my first missed Otakon in four years! ;_; But we'll be back again next time.
Ferret
I think getting married and stuff is more important than hanging around with a bunch of anime-crazed geeks in costumes of varying levels of workmanship
Xerol Oplan
BBQ Basics: -Sunday, July 19, starting 3PM. -PM me for directions. -$5 cover, should be enough to pay for everything. Upthorn
I think getting married and stuff is more important than hanging around with a bunch of anime-crazed geeks in costumes of varying levels of workmanship Heresy. They should clearly move their wedding date so as not to interfere. Or even better, get married at the con! Edit: o btw I'll b there agn this year, fwiw
Kizyr
Wish we could make it... my first missed Otakon in four years! ;_; But we'll be back again next time. Aw! Well, y'all will be missed. But yeah, what Ferret says: you got other more important priorities. BBQ Basics:-Sunday, July 19, starting 3PM. More info coming... I'll plan on being there; it was a lot of fun last year. Xerol Oplan
Who wants meat? Grill surface area is about 2.5x that of the 20" round grill I used last year, and it can get much hotter, meaning food moves on and off much faster.
Bahamut
I'll probably be up for going Xerol, and I'll probably bring a friend along. Also, any interest making it an FF4 project listening party of sorts then too?
Triad Orion
I'll be going this year as well, but I don't think I'll be able to make the BBQ. Looking forward to seeing people there.
Xerol Oplan
I'll probably be up for going Xerol, and I'll probably bring a friend along. Also, any interest making it an FF4 project listening party of sorts then too? Yeah, actually last year we listened to whatever project had just come out. Additional notes: -The pool will be open, bring swimwear if interested, I've got extra towels. -Since we're getting new windows put in early August the patio's going to be a big mess, so everything's going to take place out in the yard. This means we might have to run inside if it rains. It also means not much shade will be available, so bring/wear sunscreen.
José the Bronx Rican
It's getting late, and I better mention. 1.) I am a definite, so add if you like. 2.) What's everyone's room situation, quickly? I can't tell yet if it's necessary for me to plunk for my own room and have three folks join me.
Bahamut
I'm personally just going to be staying with a good friend of mine who has a house in Baltimore - he's also going to be attending Otakon, so he'll probably hang out with us. Brushfire
Did they annouce the time that the panel is happening yet? Lemme know if they did.
Bahamut
Yep, check the first post Brush. Also, anyone want to have dinner Thursday night after getting the badges and/or look around Friday & Saturday? I don't know much at the con itself except that it's for anime primarily. Brushfire
I will be in Baltimore on the Tuesday of next week, so I would be down for dinner for Thursday.
Kizyr
If anyone else wants to know, they've posted the entire schedule up now so you can plan ahead: http://www.otakon.com/events_schedule.asp I'm mostly happy my panel (Lunar panel at 4:30) doesn't overlap with OCR (at 6:15). The OCR one does overlap with the Tales series and Iron Editor... though the choice of which of those to attend is obvious for me. Barring that, when I book a room, anyone/-two/-three wanna come with and split the cost?
