Brandon Strader Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I've never played any of the X series but I'm still looking forward to this music. Good luck, everyone.
Mirby Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I think my favorite part is the navigators being playable, which was a nice change of pace from the usual sausagefest that is the MMX universe. That was awesome, even though it was just playing female versions of X, Axl, and Zero. And the music was awesome too; glad to see such talented mixers taking on a few tracks from X8!
Mirby Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I've never played any of the X series but I'm still looking forward to this music. Good luck, everyone. Then you have no right posting in this thread. RAWWWRRR!!!! Seriously though, check the games out. They all have rockin' soundtracks!
Brandon Strader Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Play x! MegaMan X? I'll look for it and give it a shot. I kind of avoided MegaMan because I got the first game, which came out in 1987, when I was just a tiny lad. I was good at it then. I grew up and tried to play it, and I was horrible at it - couldn't beat a single level. Then I always nodded the MegaMan series off as "that series which I'm not good enough to play". With modern save-state technology, I could probably do it, but it would not be the least bit legit.
Bahamut Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 Eh, nothing wrong if he hasn't played them - but go check the games out, they're still fun to play today!
Bahamut Posted May 30, 2010 Author Posted May 30, 2010 Its been quiet...and a little more than 1 month until the next deadline! I hope some more developed WIPs/final wavs come in soon .
Demonstray Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I can beat them without savestates. I have, actually. It's a sad, sad age when it's an accomplishment to beat a video game without savestates.
Gario Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Well said, Demonstray. Well said. Save states = the devil. And here's hoping I'll get some significant progress out for the next deadline during a move/re-evaluation of all my stuff.
Mirby Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I was only saying I've beaten them legit whereas Oink there said he couldn't beat them without savestates. Semi-challenging, but fun.
Bahamut Posted June 11, 2010 Author Posted June 11, 2010 So things have been quiet lately - just a timely reminder, there's 29 days until the second deadline!
Gario Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 SSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I'd like to have some peace before the inevitable panic, thank you very much .
Bahamut Posted June 11, 2010 Author Posted June 11, 2010 So Sixto dropped 5 of his tracks - I sort of figured this would happen, he just took on too much for how he's approaching music currently.
Mirby Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Well when he said he had 23 project tracks when I interviewed him oh so long ago, I was optimistic... but this was bound to happen. Hopefully someone can pick them off the floor and still do something excellent with them.
Bahamut Posted June 15, 2010 Author Posted June 15, 2010 Got an updated WIP from Skummel! After some talking it looks like his piece will be expanded, so look out for some good stuff
Mirby Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 But the good stuff I was looking for was Sixto's 6 tracks... heh actually this will all be good; can't wait! Especially for Morse's massive medley!
prophetik music Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 so, what was left to do on my track? i seem to remember you saying that you want a live guitarist. is there any way i can get around that thought? i kind of wanted this to be shreddage only.
Bahamut Posted June 17, 2010 Author Posted June 17, 2010 Well I thought it could expand the track really with a mix of the synth & guitar lead. Edit: Minor update, Jewbei switching his track to Gravity Beetle - looks like we got 3 people doing it ha!
Bahamut Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 So a bit of an update here - I'm still in need of someone to do the website. If anyone knows anyone who is willing to do this and is on point, have them contact me! More of an overarching thing - I'm currently preparing in anticipation of enlisting in the military as an officer in the US Air Force. In particular, this can possibly affect things with regards to release timing if everything is not essentially complete beforehand, so this makes it imperative that all the tracks are finished before Oct. 9th. If not, there is a real possibility that the release will be pushed back at least 4 months further, if not even more - this is due to the fact that officer training is a 12 week process of minimal contact with the outside world. So lets go everyone, work it because we all want to see this release before the year's end!
General Gilliam Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Hey Bahamut, sorry I never got back to you on the status of the song I was kinda working on, but I decided to drop the project. On another note though, I am currently remixing Zero Stage 2 (Cyber Maze Core) from X5. Not sure if I'll have it done on deadline, so I guess this'll kinda be like if I finish it on time I'll submit it to you, if not, oh well. Here' a link to the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQSDf-V0yDs This is kinda hard to remix as it's already a techno song, but I'll try my hardest to get a good sounding mix out before the WIP due date.
Bahamut Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 So it's looking like Jewbei might be the next one to give up the final wav! Remember guys, 1 week until the next deadline!
Demonstray Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 So I'll have two things for you on this WiP date. One which you don't have from me, and the other's actually a surprise, you won't see it coming. But when it hits you, it'll hit you like a phone booth. Sound good?
