Mustin Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 Taking a break from the Super Mario Kart Album progress (which we've had a lot of lately) to do a video of a very under-played tune. Kinda obscure - hope you know it. Quote
Crulex Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 This is pretty sweet. The previews sound amazing and I can't wait for this to come out. Mustin's "Arnold" impressions were dead on. On a side note: SNES's Rainbow Road? ........Yeah, it was better than the others. Quote
Mustin Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 What's taking so long?! Where's the CD? Is it even going to be a CD? What else can I expect from this Super Mario Kart Album? Find out in the exclusive Original Sound Version interview! http://www.originalsoundversion.com/?p=9559 Quote
jmr Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Oh, so there ARE going to be physical CD's printed? <3 <3 <3 Quote
Crulex Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Very cool. I now have something to look forward to on May 4th. Quote
Penfold Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Haha I've actually been wondering about this recently. Thanks for the update, I'm looking forward to getting the (physical) CD. Quote
Bahamut Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Yay, physical CD! Definitely will buy when it comes out (if not more than one). Quote
Toadofsky Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 YES!!! I can't wait!! Is the Koopa beach song the same as the one from the different oneups album? Quote
Battousai Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Learn to read. I think there's even a youtube video where everyone was wondering why Mustin was so lazy as to plagiarize a Daft Punk song's bassline for the new arrangement. Quote
Mustin Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 Toadofsky, Battousai, that's why it's called "Something About Koopa Beach." Quote
SirChadlyOC Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Do I have to wait until May 4 to order this and give you my moneyz? Can I pre-order or anything? Quote
Bahamut Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Do I have to wait until May 4 to order this and give you my moneyz? Can I pre-order or anything? Patience, my friend! Quote
Mustin Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 AmazonMP3 has the album up, but it's not available for purchase until tomorrow! Still, you can hear all the samples! Awesome! http://amzn.to/9RqAWV Quote
JH Sounds Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Haha, I dig the whole no-frills approach to the album/track titles. Quote
Bahamut Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I'm a bit confused - is the Paypal link on The OneUps' site for the physical copy? Quote
Mazedude Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Bahamut, refresh the site and revisit the store; I've tweaked it in a way that should clear up any confusion. http://theoneups.com/ - Mazedude Quote
SirChadlyOC Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I am writing an eviction notice to Contra 4 - Rocked n Loaded: Dear R&L, It's been a pleasure having you live in my car's CD player for the past few months. You've always been there for me when I've had a crappy day at work or when I am going from one place to the next. Unfortunately, the time has come for me to move on. I assure you, it's more me than you. It's nothing personal, it's just that I need a change in my life. I'll always remember the special times we had together. I hope that we can remain friends and that you'll still be there in my life when I need you. Hugs and Kisses, SirChadly. Quote
Mustin Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 Well, that's pretty much the greatest compliment ever. And we're done! Oh, and here's the music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQGHtzrJKbM Quote
Murmeli Walan Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 The music video's great, the crew who filmed/edited it did a fantastic job. Although I was waiting the entire time for one of you guys to throw a banana peel. Quote
Bahamut Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Bahamut, refresh the site and revisit the store; I've tweaked it in a way that should clear up any confusion.http://theoneups.com/ - Mazedude Ah thanks - I quickly went to the PayPal page to buy it anyway, as I guessed as much. Loving what I'm hearing from the website of the album! Quote
ZealPath Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Video was very cool, great job by the crew who filmed it and it looked like a lot of fun for everyone involved. Makes me wonder how many VGM remix music videos we might see in the future, really hit the theme perfectly with the go-karts obviously, and I loved the kid towards the end . As for the album, I don't need any more convincing, I'll be buying next week soon as I'm back I'm on my PC, and halfway across the country at my new address. Quote
Mustin Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 "Mario Circuit" on the front page. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02032/ Quote
