Cinderwild Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 My item slots are running out too, but I'm getting a lot of Soldier and Demo items, whereas I need Scout ones, which I've gotten like, two of.
ParanoidDrone Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I used to be hoarding my items, but crafted a bunch of them away for the same reasons. The only ones I'm keeping are stuff like the Ambassador and Razorback, where the known Polycount items are the same weapon type as what is already available. Saves on backpack space for sure. And I got a hat, although it wasn't one I wanted.
Powerlord Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 BLU crashed again this evening. I'm not sure why, but I manually restarted it. It also crashed with an auto-restart yesterday. Edit: Also, if you're on the server when it crashes and you can contact FireSlash or I (via IRC or IM), please let us know the server crashed so we can restart it.
The Mutericator Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 The night they reveal Captain Falcon in Brawl! Whoa time portal to 2.5 years ago for a second there.
ParanoidDrone Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 From what I heard, enough people have said they can make it that I think it's official: Scrim on Sunday, September 19, 9PM EST, Highlander server. If you can come, but will be a bit late (Read: 30 minutes), then PLEASE, say so. None of us want to be sitting around in a half-empty server waiting for someone who may not even show up for all we know. I am aware that it's pretty short notice, but I've been contacting the Team 1 members individually asking if they were available for this and the majority are. From what I hear it's a similar situation with Team 2, although I obviously can't confirm this directly. After the disaster that followed nearly a week's notice, we're hoping that a shorter timeframe will prevent people from forgetting and rescheduling.

Most of our team is available, just need confirmation from !! and Narf. EDIT: just confirmation from Narf now.
ParanoidDrone Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Frogg will have to work his way through traffic and won't be on until 9:30. (Gee, this sounds familiar...) Just talked with him about it. Still haven't been able to talk with Miyako and Bark directly, though.
WindStrike Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Well, if you need anyone for a potential replacement, bug me through Steam. I'll try to get my gamer mode back on if I'm needed.
Powerlord Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Question: Should I bump the Highlander server player count to 28 so that the 5 reserve members for each team can spectate?
Brushfire Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Question: Should I bump the Highlander server player count to 28 so that the 5 reserve members for each team can spectate? yes 10 Char
Black Waltz Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Alright, our whole team should be attending tonight.
WindStrike Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 For anyone interested in getting back into the whole Lantern Corps stuff, here's some avatars/sprays for you all to claim and use: Avatars - http://www.mediafire.com/?7xsoly2p2j694h0 Sprays - http://www.mediafire.com/?ouhhiau1ch8d3fh For the record, Brushfire has claimed Blue Lantern Corps and I've claimed Green Lantern Corps.
ParanoidDrone Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 If I say so myself, the scrim went rather well. Everyone got there fairly on time and we played two maps -- Upward and Gravelpit. Good games to everyone. Note to self: Next time, find a venue that doesn't have people working on schoolwork in the same room. Puts a real damper on mic use.

DarkeSword Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Do you guys even read Green Lantern? Jeez.
WindStrike Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Do you guys even read Green Lantern?Jeez. ... .. sadly, no. I might get into it next time I have a long stretch of free time or something.
XeroZohar Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I'm Indigo. Hey now, I was Indigo before Indigo was cool. Whippersnapper.
Cinderwild Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I do read Green Lantern (I stopped after Blackest Night to let it accumulate for awhile) and I am a member of the Indigo Tribe. Suck it. but I do see your point and I feel sorry that you do not get to be the one that you wish to be. There is of course always room for more members.
WindStrike Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 And there is at least two of every avatar in that pack. Same with the sprays.
XeroZohar Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Well, last time we did this I was the Indigo member. That's what I meant. But I'm entirely not serious so no biggie.
Powerlord Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Updates to Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source and Day of Defeat: Source have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include: Source Engine Changes (CS:S, DoD:S, TF2) - Optimizations to multi-core rendering - Removed -heapsize command line argument. Some detail: This command made sense in Half-Life 1’s memory manager. The current engine manages memory in a way that doesn’t need it specified. Under some circumstances, specifying a non-optimal heapsize causes crashes and/or reduced performance - Fixed an exploit that allowed people to send fake VAC messages to clients This is a client-only update, so the server was not updated.
Jaswald Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 sorry i apparently missed one or more skirmishes, I did not know they existed whoops
ParanoidDrone Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 The Highlander tournament is officially underway. Teams need to schedule their matches with the groups they're paired up with. Check the main site for details because it's more than I can keep track of.
