Darklink42
Some of my favorites from the 80s include: Oingo Boingo: Dead Man's Party Just Another Day The entire "Good for your Soul" album A-HA: Take on Me The Sun Always Shines on TV Train of Thought R.E.M.: Radio Free Europe Losing My Religion Orange Crush Various: Lunatic Fringe- Red Rider Men Without Shame- Phantom, Rocker, and Slick (This one is harder to find though) Bottom Line- Big Audio Dynamite Der Kommissar- After the Fire Artists that had overall good stuff: Thomas Dolby Pet Shop Boys Molly Hatchet Peter Gabriel Tears for Fears ELO (Most of their good stuff is actually from the 70's though) There's a lot more, but those are some of my top picks just looking through the music I have on playlists and stuff. Despite this though, I would still argue that Guns N' Roses "Appetite for Destruction" is still the best album of that decade, and beats out a lot of 90's albums too. Not very good for the atmosphere. Madonna - Papa Don't Preach Roxette - The Look Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill Missing: MJ, REO Speedwagon, Peter Gabriel, a lot of songs from the artists I listed above, a bunch of random New Wave, and Hair bands I never liked much.
