Steam Treasure Hunt

No it isn't, it just seems that way because the trajectories aren't straight-lines. As time progresses, gravitational pull increases, so you have to adjust for curving approaches.

I've had many times where my bat was right where the ball is supposed to land, and the ball would pass through it - one time it passed through right through the center. If that's not spotty hit detection, I don't know what is.

Yes, it is. It's a really fun take on Breakout-style paddle games with an awesome soundtrack.

One of its songs also

that has nothing to do with the game.

I'm a little disappointed that I can't get my Dualshock 3 to get recognized by Shatter especially since Recettear hooked up with it seamlessly. Doubly disappointed since there was a PS3 version before the PC version too.

Surely you have several 360 controllers lying around.

Yeah fortunately I do have some 360 controllers with the wireless adapter for PC.

At least some of you can have the "pleasure" of dealing withe the bonus mode.

I suck so bad I can't even get past the boss of the granule extractor.

(Little advice plz?)

Use your gun whenever you get it, and don't ever hold left click for long on a boss. Only use the vacuum to quickly eat shards, or position the ball. Don't multi-ball on bosses.

Edit: If you use the gun at the start of a life, the ball won't come out until it's over -- this allows you to concentrate fully on firing.

Also, I've gotten the chest for Shatter! Woot. Also, $2.50 for a decent netbook game is a pretty sweet deal.

Yep. And i'll tell you what. That got me JACKED to buy homefront. I've been looking for a modern setting FPS that was actually GOOD. This is looking like it.

I wanted Deus Ex already because i love that series and its been too goddamned long.

I just saw the 40k trailer for space marine...and god was i worried about that game. Being a 40k player and knowing the lore knowing the game as i do i was scared as hell that after the warhammer MMO this could go to shit. No longer. If anything that game showed me EXACTLY what i wanted to see.

And the portal 2 co-op trailer!? THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHOWN DURING THE VGA'S!

May they live up to the trailers.

Loved the Homefront backstory trailer when I first saw it so I didn't feel like I was wasting my time watching it again.

I LOL'd at the Portal 2 logo because all I could think of was Pedobear.

Anyone play Metro 2033 yet? How long does the Nosalis Hunter achievement take?

Don't worry Cinderwild. I was pretty bad at it when I started too. (still am but that's neither here nor there:wink:)

My advice is to use a game pad if you've got one and just keep at it, the unlocks you get as you progress do help a lot, and if a song is giving you too much trouble try another.

To be honest I only just did it today by using the album that comes with the game.

I did it to the Angra album Rebirth - I've found that higher intensity tracks tend to be easier, or at least ones that are loud for the most part. I was able to complete the whole album and get back to the start if I remember right.

You have to download them - there should be a button for it just to the right and bottom of where you can select what trailers/artwork to see.

Eh at least I can download them directly in the Steam window. I've watched the DX:HR movie like 20 times streamed before today so I guess watching these other ones isn't a big deal.

Within the last 10 minutes, Valve decided that the watch demos objective was stupid and everyone now has it:

"Turns out this one is kind of hard to track. All eligible Steam accounts are now entered for this objective. Nice work!"
