Monobrow
Txai gets super creds for Yuki Iwai. MMX (collab) and MMX2 (sole) composer of AWESOME! Also one of my favorite OSTs is Mega Man V by Mari Yamaguchi (also did Breath of Fire). Also did anyone mention Yoko Shimomura? (j/k) She composed for Super Mario RPG and Parasite Eve AS WELL AS A FEW OTHER AWESOME THINGS! Michiru Yamane, I'm gonna echo, if not ONLY for Castlevania: SOTN (that enough is alone), but her massive body of awesome work of awesome *_* Also my bio by Rexy says I have one remix, that's gonna change soon

RoeTaKa
Ladies ladies I'm in the business of making babies. Another cheer for Michiru Yamane, she is divine. I can confirm Monobrow and Rexy are infact, ladies (sorry Mirby, I know not you!). This means your thread wins.
Kainchild
I may not be posted, but I am a girl and am working on a remix. Sweet. Glad to see some women in our realm. I thought the Japanese had the monopoly on nerd women.
Kainchild
She's not merely a women, she's three women. Well I'll take THREE hundred of her. I think I own every soundtrack she ever made.

Garian
Critical Thread Failure. The OP reeks of "hey guys do my research for me," when if he had merely followed some wiki links he could see who is reported as man or woman, let's not even include google or just going through the list on this very website. That said, there have been a lot of good mentions, here's one more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinuyo_Yamashita.
Natalya Zarraga
See, this is what we should be responding to instead of throwing in random female composers. And here I come with a comprehensive list of every female OC Remixer that has contributed -I hope this helps out in regards to the OP. If I'm missing anything, please clue us in! I am also a VG remixer, among other things. I did something for the official FFIX album and I'm working on stuff for the Legend of Mana and Secret of Mana albums, and doing vocals for other people's remixes. I sing, play harp, piano, Irish bouzouki, recorder, glockenspiel, and other random stuff. As for female video game composers... Kumi Tanioka is awesome for composing the soundtrack to Crystal Chronicles. Such an inspired work of art!

CinnamonJihad
this thread is now about posting links to awesome music by yoko shimomurahttp://youtu.be/B2f_bWs5A1s Wow, I had now idea that Yoko Shimomura did Mario RPG! That shatters my entire universe! Yoko Kanno was the first one that came to mind for me for composers even though, yeah, she is more anime than games. But that Darker Than Black OST is GODLIKE! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhuPsMW0JdY Also, I might be crazy, or I just might have never actually known what was going on, but didn't pixietricks do some stuff on here? KyleJCrb
Hey Rexy, you forgot Wire from Game Over. There are a LOT of female game composers, particularly on the Japanese side: Ayako Saso (Ridge Racer, Tekken) Shinobu Amayake (Stunt Race FX) Yoshino Aoki (Breath of Fire, Mega Man) Tomoko Sasaki (NiGHTS, Burning Rangers) Yuka Tsujiyoko (Fire Emblem, Paper Mario) Asuka Ohta (Zelda Four Swords) Fumie Kumatani (Sonic, Phantasy Star) Hitomi Sato (Pokemon) Junko Ozawa (Pac-Man, Xevious, Galaga) Kinuyo Yamashita (Castlevania, Mega Man X3) Kumi Tanioka (Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles) Luna Umegaki (Mega Man Zero & ZX) Manami Matsumae (Street Fighter, Mega Man) Mariko Nanba (Panzer Dragoon, Space Channel 5, Sonic) Michiko Naruke (WILD ARMs) Michiru Yamane (Castlevania, Suikoden) Mieko Ishikawa (Ys, Sorcerian) Minako Hamano (Super Metroid) Yoko Shimomura (Street Fighter, Kingdom Hearts, Parasite Eve) Yuko Takehara (Mega Man, Marvel vs. Capcom) Yumiko Kanki (F-Zero) Nobuko Toda (Metal Gear Solid) Miki Higashino (Salamander, Suikoden, Otomedius) Akari Kaida (Okami) Aki Hata (Rocket Knight Adventures, Dynamite Headdy) Junko Tamiya (Bionic Commando, Street Fighter 2010) There's considerably fewer females on the western side, strangely enough, but they're out there: Winifred Phillips (God of War, LittleBigPlanet) Laura Shigihara (Plants vs. Zombies) Jillian Aversa aka pixietricks (Soulcalibur V, Civilization) Eveline Fischer (Donkey Kong Country 3) Shannon Mason aka Pongball (Sapphire Skies, Bloom Defender)

psychowolf
The OP reeks of "hey guys do my research for me," Precisely. In my first few months or so online i was basically told "do your own research, we ain't doing it for you" "http://www.google.co.uk/" should be the main response.
