Dexie
Well, we're at 649 Pokemon right now. If I had to guess, I'd say we'll get 100~120 new monsters?
Mirby
Gen1|+151 (obviously) Gen2|+100 Gen3|+135 Gen4|+107 Gen5|+156 That's on average about 130 additions per generation. If we take that and add it to what we have already, that brings us to 779 total. So I'm guessing we'll have a total of 750-800 unique Pokémon from all generations after this gen. Flexstyle
I'm gonna have to buy a 3DS of some sort, now, aren't I? Bother, I didn't want to have to give up my good ol' DS Lite. Ah well, looks like it's gonna be a really nice-looking game.

Mirby
The Pokérap will end halfway through as the rapper passes out from lack of oxygen while trying to name them all.
Dexie
Sadly, Gen IV and Gen V didn't get a Pokerap. But Gen V got which still strikes me as both amazing and hilarious.

The Derrit
Grass starters every gen for me but Gen III, because Sceptile is laaaaame.
ocre
I gave up on learning everyone's name after Gen 3...I have no hope now. Is THAT why they call you Nonamer! :
The Damned
Grass starters every gen for me but Gen III, because Sceptile is laaaaame. Yeah, dinosaurs with giant leaf blades on their arms sure suck.
Dexie
It's the tail. It just looks really, really bad to me in-game and in the Sugimori art. Treecko I like. Grovyle's design I LOVE. Sceptile...ugh. The damn tail just throws the whole thing off.
Bleck
why does every pokemon announcement have to be followed with everyone talking about what designs they do and don't like as if it has ever or will ever matter in any meaningful capacity
ocre
Which new starter is your favorite, Bleck? :
Bleck
I'm interested to see what their final forms look like, but I'll probably go with Froakie because I've always taken the water-type.
Brushfire
Fennekin for life.
Malaki-LEGEND.sys
why does every pokemon announcement have to be followed with everyone talking about what designs they do and don't like as if it has ever or will ever matter in any meaningful capacity Now you know how I feel whenever someone starts a Final Fantasy "discussion". "No, I don't fucking care that you liked Final Fantasy VII just an iota more than Final Fanatasy V and thought _insert number here_ was the 'death' of the series." The Damned
Yeah, one of my favorites is Cradily, I still have the one I hatched from my Sapphire game back in 2004. "Oh, but it's ugly" everyone said... then after a year, online sim stats showed a sharp increase in Cradly use once people started figuring out that it's stats, movepool and ability let it soak up damage and recover easily, walling most mixed attackers until it could wear them down. Yes, eventually, counters were found and used, but that's not the point; people hated it based upon looks, and ended up using it based upon stats. Brushfire
Cradily is OP. Nerf Now.
StreetFlare
I STILL say that Fennekin is going to be Fire/Psychic. And besides, even if it's another frakking Fire/Fighting type, it CAN'T be worse than Emboar...can it?

ocre
I was made aware of this article that links the legendary Pokemon from Pokemon XY to figures from Norse mythology. Pretty interesting stuff.
The Damned
Chromosomes, 3D space, biological systems in humans, Norse mythology... Seems this generation is just full of meanings.
Brushfire
I kinda want a Chespin now.
ocre
EGAD! New eeveelution?! Possible bug type (the ribbon things look like butterflies - then again, it looks too normal to be a bug type)?
