zamuz Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 From Yasunori Mitsuda's Twitter and Square-Enix Music: Can't wait! Geoffrey Taucer 1 Quote
Geoffrey Taucer Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Oh man I am definitely going to grab this Quote
Arrow Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Laura Shigihara tweeted yesterday that she's gonna be on this album. I was already super excited, but that just clinches it even more. FenixDown 1 Quote
orlouge82 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I think the last and only time an album was performed by both Yasunori Mitsuda and Millennial Fair was Creid, which was released over 17 years ago. Very, very excited about this Quote
Michael_Lochlann Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Listen to it and buy it. It's freaking stellar. Covering all the "HITS" with great instrumentation, singing, arrangement, and mixing. Sorry if posting this breaks any rules. I don't come here a lot. http://vgmdb.net/album/54006 Quote

Callas Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I think the last and only time an album was performed by both Yasunori Mitsuda and Millennial Fair was Creid, which was released over 17 years ago. Very, very excited about this Didn't even know about this connection when listening, but definitely noticed some similarities. Terrific album. All the singers have great performances and the English lyrics are well-fitted to the material and the music. I should have recognized Shigihara's enunciation before reading the credits. Thematically conservative; no transplanting of originally tender arias into rowdy square dance rhythms, for example, but I love it that way. Never enough room for all the greatest hits on these albums, but if you hit a couple old chestnuts like Schala and Zeal, you could fill the rest of the disc with bleating goats and I'd consider it a good buy. Standout track is "On The Other Side", which when paired with Shigihara's earnest vocals comes across as bittersweet as a lover departing for the war in an old black-and-white movie. Quote
Wiesty Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Here's 3 links of Yasunori and Millennial Fair performing songs off the album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvffOtTYTi8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MWQlyz6IGY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSWgN607pxg Would it be against rules to post the live stream of the album they aired on the 13th? DarkeSword Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 No, because that's official promotion, so it's okay to post. It's just rips of the album that aren't allowed, i.e. someone throwing MP3s or FLACs of the album for download. Quote
