OverClocked ReMix Chess League

I've been playing Bass Clarinet for nine years,

!!

I play bass clarinet! Though currently my band director is making me play straight up Bb clarinet because all our good players graduated. And I played sax in marching band. Also I mess around with piano. But bass clarient is the best of all.

I play tenor sax in my college marching band - I really don't associate with band that much besides the fact that all of my best friends are from band, my new girlfriend is from band, and blah blah blah.

I've played trombone and baritone horns, and I'm learning audio editing - maybe someday soon I'll actually start remixing.

Hey guys, I'm going to be gone until Sunday afternoon/evening, so nothing will be updated from tonight until then.

Please post all results in the thread

Reports WILL be honored but I need a surrogate administrator - to PM reported players.

Anyone interested?

Do you play or just listen? - I play bass now, little over a year.

If you play, then what instrument(s) do you play? - Bass :)

What style(s) do you play? - Pretty much just rock music, try to learn a video game ditty every now and then for fun.

What are you favorite types of music? - Rock, Alternative

Who are your favorite artists? - Dredg is my favorite, but there's a lot more.

So Margoute and I have been talking about music lately and I thought that this might be a broad enough topic that everyone can relate to. So here it is; this bi weekly set of questions are:

What is your background with music?

Do you play or just listen?

If you play, then what instrument(s) do you play? What style(s) do you play?

What are you favorite types of music?

Who are your favorite artists?

Let's start this as a biweekly thing. So I will bring out new topics every couple of weeks. Then next one will be brought up a week from this coming Sunday. Any and all topics are welcome for suggestion. Just send me a private message and I will log people's ideas so that they are given correct credit in the topics.

Background with music - I have played the violin for several years, as well as had some voice training/singing experience for several years.

Style - I prefer the operatic style.

Favorite types of music? Music that accomplishes its concept well, which generally is contemporary music, musicals, and metal for me.

Favorite artists - Manowar & Angra & Ayreon.

...my new girlfriend is from band...

*Cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough no band babies, now, understand?

So, as for me, my primary instrument is the Marimba or any mallet percussive instrument, and I also march in the pit at school. I used to march quint tenors - they were so much fun. I miss that.

I adore just about every form of instrumental music, and even though it only accounts for around 33% of my total music library on my computer - (1321 items, 91+ hours, 4.2 GB) it is a solid 75% of the music I listen to regularly, and I have to scroll down 70 tracks, (38 of which are OCR tunes) in order to reach the most-often-played lyrical piece, Enya's "Orinoco Flow". So there you go.

If we're going with computer libraries right now, I have like 40GB+, 6771 songs on my WinAmp right now, 362:41 hours. It's constantly growing.

One draw and one win vs. Setz. He forfeited the second game after making a mistake and losing a rook. He played excellently in the first game and I couldn't get a victory out of him even though I was close to promoting two pawns.

First game movelist (I forgot to get the second one):

Speaking about music: I listen to everything, what was made well. Favourite artists and genres vary, recently it was some old rock, jazz, gypsy swing, some russian techno etc

Um... is it only me here who does not play any instrument?

About size of my music library - its about 9Gb now, pretty unsorted and disorganised.

Developing Enya theme - my fav is Carribean blue :-)
