jon02129 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Hm, looks like the bastard children of a Final Fantasy realm that got pillaged by pirates. Neat. Quote
Xbob42 Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 Finally someone got some decent shots up! http://forum.swordofthenewworld.com/index.php?showtopic=72&st=20&start=20 That man is a pimp, I shall dress like him. Quote
eternal Zero Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Hate to rez an old thread like this, but a little update: Game's out of beta and has been switched from a P2P format to a F2P format with micro-transaction marketplace. If you know the lingo, you know what's up, if you don't: IT'S FREE. Great game to play and I'm still at the point where I have a temp account just to get a feel for the game before I really get cracking since I'm OCD like that, but seriously, it'd be fun to get a bunch of people playing on it. Effef Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 A bunch of us over at remod are playing this, if anyone wants to join: http://remod.cakearmy.org/viewtopic.php?t=6016&start=0 We play Granado Espada, which is the same game but with a better translation. Quote
Moseph Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Heh . . . I was reading the old posts and thinking "What's wrong with these people -- the beta was MONTHS ago!" Then I saw the post dates. I plan to check it out when I get the time. Does it feel like cripple-ware if you don't pay for any of the micro-transaction stuff, or is all that pretty much non-essential? Quote
Sil Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Wow, the synth in that endless battle track is pretty terrible. The rest is decent enough. What was that other Korean MMO that had a fully orchestrated score? They had the soundtrack available for free on their site but I never got a chance to download it. Quote
Fenrir Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 So is it worth failing out of college to get involved with this? My last foray into MMORPG territory was Ragnarok Online; is this substantially better? Quote
eternal Zero Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 So is it worth failing out of college to get involved with this? My last foray into MMORPG territory was Ragnarok Online; is this substantially better? Yes. RO used to be my favorite MMO before Guild Wars which was my favorite before this. Wait..Granado Espada (sucky Spanish FTW! execpt it's actually a part of the back story) is the [i was wrong] serve? Edit: I know better now. It's the international English server. Malaysia, Philippines, etc. Quote
OverCoat Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I am installing this thing currently. Who is playing this, again? it's going to be super boring if it's just me. Quote

OverCoat Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 10charhjhjthjn but it's called: Sword of the New World: Granado Espada. Are you telling me there's a game called Granado Espada: Sword of the New World that's completely identical sans a few awkward sentences? What the fuck is this shit Quote
Arcubalis Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 The soundtrack for Granado Espada has quickly become one of my favorites of all time. It's just so good. I'm a fool for SoundTeMP, too, so anything they do I absolutely love. We got a brief interview with the sound team from Korea. Unfortunately they couldn't get ahold of the composers to take part, but it still turned out alright: http://www.music4games.net/Features_Display.aspx?id=249 I hope they put out a REAL Volume 2 in the future with music from SFA, SoundTeMP, and Kubota in the future, because there are still some tracks of theirs that didn't make it into Volume 1. Dhsu Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I definitely need to cover "Granado Espada" at some point. What a beautiful theme. Quote
