    • This will be a shorter round, by 3 days or so.  Might want to get on it this week before things get even more hectic, due to holidays and all that.
    • Compo: MnP (Meat 'n Potatoes) Round 84: Paper Mario (The Thousand-Year Door) - Petal Meadows Midi: Youtube: Deadline: Dec 24 Sun @ 1PM Vote Ends: Dec 26 Tues @ 11PM Submit your remix Here when completed. MnP ARCHIVE  - made by Trism

The goal of Compo:MnP is to promote that "meat and potatoes" conservative approach to remixing: this includes the mood and composition of source tunes. It is up to the remixer to create their own personalization, or to simply give it a sound upgrade. Moreover, the compo is a great opportunity to hone your remixing skills and give video game music the respect that is due. SOME reinterpretation is recommended, but not required.

MnP Instructions/Guidelines Covers and Sound Upgrades are permitted. Most or all of the source notes must be present (but not necessarily in the exact same order), secondly the mood (energy, pacing, feelings being conveyed etc) should also be retained. For example, a source tune that is fast-paced and energetic that's remixed into a mellow/chill-out theme would be a hard sell. If you decide to do a genre swap (i.e. symphonic to techno), make sure that the conditions of #2 are met. Submissions must be at a maximum of 20mb (keeping in step with ThaSauce's file size max). Only 1 entry per participant. Previous winner cannot participate but can submit a BONUS entry. Please don't make any comments about people's entries - including your own - until the Voting process is concluded.  BONUS entries are exempt of this rule. All competitors and voters must adhere to the rules stated within: Competition Code and Conduct
      - When picking a source tune, make sure it has a MIDI to make ppl's lives easier.
      - In-game sound FX are permitted, so long as they don't comprise the whole track (i.e. replacing entire MIDI tracks with just sfx)
    • Nice!  I like what you did with your "DKC I-lese" remix from VGMix!!   And always great to hear another one from the artist formerly known as Blue Magic!
    • I really liked this. You don't see Ridge Racer remixes hardly ever. This is definitely a worthy one
    • Hey everyone! We are somewhat new to posting here, but wanted to share our latest track.  I've been a long time lurker on OCR, but finally ready to start producing/submitting remixes.  This is our first submission, which was submitted a few weeks ago.  Would love any thoughts/comments/feedback on the mix!

This is a remix of a really short/simple song in Breath of the Wild that plays at the Flight Range in the Hebra region.  It's basically a more melancholy/chill take on Revali's theme.  I was listening to it in game and got inspired to do a trance remix!  I didn't initially think it was good enough to submit, but I showed it to Jewbei, one of my favorite trance remixers who I have been connected with on FB for years, and he liked it and encouraged me to submit and gave me some tips on my mix.  So a BIG thanks to him for doing that!  We hope it gets accepted, and even if it doesn't we will try again!

Anyway, without further ado, here is our remix of "The Flight Range,"  which we have titled "Take Flight."  I hope you like it and welcome any and all feedback and discussion!
Also on Soundcloud for better quality:    Also, on another note, we are definitely looking to make more remixes, and if anyone wants to collaborate some time, let me know!  I play keys (jazz/soul/gospel styles mainly), guitar, and sing, as well as produce with the latest version of FL Studio.
