Apologies, that's due to a lot of the conversation going on on the Discord server, as it's easier for people to get in touch with me on there and relay any workshop notes or submissions that way. :) I've noticed your two PMs to me on here, and apologize I haven't been in the forums lately. I had been severely busy with doing my own tracks and keeping up with the Discord server, as well as I had just done my first submission to Dwelling of the Duels, and trying to speed-run that process had eaten up a good amount of free time for me over the past two weeks! ^_^; I will get in touch with you @The Coop, today! If you have a Discord by chance, even if it's just an account on there, please let me know so we can maybe keep up the convo a lil' better over there (like, DMing each other). My DMs are always open! Also, yes! It's the 2nd of October! *(It's my bday! LOL!)* ANNNNNDDDD we've got 17 days left before the DEADLINE!? 🎃 How are people hanging in there! Several people have turned in stuff already!!! :0 Let me know how it's going on here, or going in the Discord server! ♥

Just found this when running into trouble with iTunes importing my music after switching to iPhone. Very helpful. Thank you for posting this. Had to jump through some hoops from Audacity's website just to get an older version; used version 2.0.6. 32-bit installer to keep up-to-date version (64 bit) intact.

Here are some of the jazzy remixes that I like starting off my October to ease me into spooky season. Whether they're from a spooky game, like Castlevania, or just because they sound like they could be heard on the streets of Halloween Town.

Sometimes I am just listening to the tracks in order and even if I like it or even download it sometimes I skip by commenting. Well this one has so many positive vibes to it just had to say it rocks. Then again I am a sucker for various 80s electronic/rock aforementioned. \o/

OCR04841 - Dragon Warrior IV "Twisted Systerz"
Estrang replied to Liontamer's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I love the story of persistence, and I also love his homage to the earlier remixes, I feel it for sure, and its a welcome feeling indeed! And to be fair, when you factor in the tools available for those earlier submissions, the bar is a bit higher these days I imagine, haah! And that shows in this track, modern tools and talent, with an "early 2000s ocr" feel.... Yeah I'm nodding my head to the beat. -
OCR04842 - Skies of Arcadia "Sacrulen Shroud"
Estrang replied to Liontamer's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Other than the glitching sound effects, I could easily see this slotting into the OG Pure Moods album as far as the feel and theme(dating myself I suppose yet again). Imagination invoking, refreshing, and relaxing all at once. -
OCR04845 - Pikmin "A Man from Outer Space"
Estrang replied to Liontamer's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
My old stash of dusty definitely legal, definitely medical stuff buried in the closet somewhere is feeling like a great idea after listening to this track. The tempo change, crazy effects, and wild instrument selection make me want to sit on the porch and enjoy life in a slow way, preferably with a few likeminded folks. Those silent sessions where you are just sitting around listening to tunes and zone out, I am feeling it! Thanks for this one. -
OCR04846 - Sonic the Hedgehog "The Caterkiller's Jam"
Estrang replied to Liontamer's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Sonic 1 was the first console gaming system I owned I think in 1991? At the age of 4 was just locked in playing this game dying over and over...Anyway I spent a lot of time in the Marble Zone. I have mixed feelings about this zone. The music was moody, and the levels were designed to trip you up, didn't really let you "go fast"...That's ok. I still have fond memories as I got older and whooped that games ass. Anyway, I love the sampling, I love the beat, I love the vibe. I definitely see those ridiculous caterwatevers grooving along to this as they wait for me to walk into them and lose my precious rings.... Thanks for this interpretation, quite a strange jam haha. -
OCR04847 - StarCraft "Saving Private Raynor"
Estrang replied to Liontamer's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Love the Title, I mean, thats the most important of a remix right?? Ahem. There's a lot of fun going on here and I am all for it. Maintains the groovy edginess of the original, but the heavier metal riffs and more spaced out keyboard/synth parts definitely inspires a slightly different mood. Overall I really enjoy this remix and pays proper homage to the OG soundtrack! 🤙 -
Hello wonderful people! I have been a lonely north american on again (more often) off again player of this fantastic Korean beat-em-up mmo for close to *looks at date* 20 years.. Well anyway, Dungeon Fighter Online has fantastic music, and one that was always pleasant was the shop theme (where you go to waste your money or free credits!). I would find myself just randomly sitting in the shop to listen to the theme and no other reason. I don't know if it inspires remixing, but if nothing else, I've spread awareness....of a old shop theme, hah! I do not have a specific genre request. Link to music:

OCR04851 - Doom "Doomonic Monarchia"
Estrang replied to Liontamer's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Ooo baby I love the bass choice here, the Doom melody is unmistakable, and I feel like this would easily slot into a (early 90s)NIN song, or back into the original game without missing a beat. Lovely. -
OCR04853 - Golden Sun "That Night, 40 Years Ago"
Estrang replied to Liontamer's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Oh man that kind of spacey 70s rock/synth instrumental is fantastic. More of this! -
OCR04854 - Silent Hill 4 "Dreamy Ring Around the Forest"

Wonderful song, I'd just like to say that is a beautiful voice complimenting the music. Three cheers! edit: Her voice reminds me of Evanescence. I hope that is a compliment. =) -

Announcing a Moon/Space ReMix Album! The moon landings of the Apollo Program in the 1960s and 70s thrust space flight into the public imagination in a way never before seen, inspiring tv shows, movies, games, toys, books, AND a nascent video game industry. The silicon chips invented for the program would go on to power the first home computers, and the apollo command module's fly-by-wire 'picklestick' control, would evolve into the near-ubiquitous arcade joystick just a few years later. Early game developers were inspired by the imagery and challenges of the space program, introducing games like "Lunar Lander" and "Asteroids". Over 50 years later, that inspiration continues, from Ducktales to Destiny, and Mass effect to Mario. So, as NASA prepares to return astronauts to lunar orbit with Artemis II in early 2026, I wanted to take this time to launch a VGM tribute to the moon missions, manned spaceflight and their continuing impact on video games. The Album This will be a small, quick turn album, which we will try to get released on OCR to coincide with the launch of Artemis II **The Theme/Tracks** No specific tracks are planned. ReMixers are free to choose any source they want provided it fits any one of the following three categories: 1. The source is from a moon level/area i.e. Ducktales-The Moon 2. The source is specific to space travel 3. The source references the moon i.e. Golden Sun TLA -Full Moon in Garoh or Majora's Mask-Final Hours Let's try to steer clear of any vgm that's specifically "alien" or alien planet areas. If you have an idea you think fits the album but maybe not the categories above, run it by me and I'll do my best to be accommodating! Claiming Tracks Claims are first come, first serve. Each claim needs to be unique (no duplicate tracks). We're aiming for a single disk album -say 12-15 tracks to keep the schedule manageable. If we have more interested participants than that we'll see what can be done Please DM me with claims, post them below, or joins us on discord ! Collaborations are highly encouraged! Schedule/Deadlines Artemis II is currently scheduled to launch sometime between February and April of 2026. That means if we want to be sure we make that date we probably need everything finished in early January..... On the downside...that's a very quick turn On the upside....so was Apollo! Current Claims Mastering - Zack Parrish 1. Halo Reach - "Broken Bonds" - Gravity Gauntlet 2. Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door - "X-naut Fortress" - Lucas Guimaraes 3. Sailor Moon: Another Story "Moon Kingdom Ruined" - Colorado Weeks 4. Star Ocean: Til The End of Time "Reflected Moon" - TSori 5. Final Fantasy IV - "Another Moon" - Ian Martyn 6.Final Fantasy XIV - "One Small Step" - Voudou Queen What We Still Need: Remixers Performers Artwork Codirector? If you are interested in making a claim, or helping out in any of the capacities above feel free to post or DM me! *note, due to the short timeline, it is preferred that remixers have a demonstrated history of meeting deadlines and that mastering be taken by someone who has done it for a previous OCR project. with that said, We are GO for Launch! (all puns intended)
