  1. Howdy. Today I present you our nearly long-lost interview with Hiroki Kikuta that was done during development of the Seiken Densetsu 3 ocremix project. For some reason, this interview was very difficult to keep a hold on, we lost the first version that Jahan Zoltan graciously helped us with in translation and I'm still embarrassed that I asked him to do it again after that, and then there were some obstacles in getting it posted where people could read it after that. I've been in the web development/marketing/blogging industry for 16 years and I'd never had a document be so slippery! But thankfully I was recently able to recover it once again (this thing is cursed by Annabelle, I swear) and to make it easiest all the way around for everyone, I just had it posted to my websites www.meteoxavier.com and www.jslawhead.com with credits going where credit is due. Proper linked version is here: http://www.jslawhead.com/2019/02/my-interview-with-hiroki-kikuta-seiken.html Thank you and please enjoy.

  2. Lemme look into this, I'd def love to be a part of it. I'm a posted remixer but my updated works are located here:

  3. The last 2? What's wrong with BadAss 1? I usually use Dropbox, but yeah Google Drive or Soundcloud work fine as well! In other news: we have our first two claims! @heymagurany is giving Madeline from Celeste the spotlight she deserves and I am bringing Ezio Auditore da Firenze into the fold! Remember: if you're not a posted mixer, we want an update every month! It doesn't have to be big, but it needs to be something

  4. Often the most controversial topic, as there are so many ways to approach it. Even i get some things wrong, and end up with a poorly produced mix. If you really want some tips, i'd suggest you try this topic, as many people provide some great ideas. It might not work for you, but give it a shot, it could come in handy. Oh well, good luck. You really do have the potential to make great music. Again i'm no expert, and i get things wrong, but i'd thought i give my two cents.

  5. What are some ways to improve my mixing as its the area I need to work on the most?

  6. I just want to say, I'm seriously impressed that you managed to include most of my favourite musical genres into one single song, and one which invokes such fond memories of a game that (I'm sorry to say this) I don't have a lot of memory from in general. (These things happen when you grow up with a Sega Genesis, and don't play Link's Awakening until on the Virtual Console... but anyway.) And also, I for one am glad this took a turn from the sombre tone it apparently was going to have initially, and instead is so light-hearted and fun. OK. Time to download. And thank you.

  7. Haha, another track from workshop made it here I fondly remember listening to this one a lot of times back then, and, of course, remember liking it a lot! Very reminiscent of some Shnabubula's stuff from NES Jams, and that's certainly a good thing. Not the most common blend of components here - bits of jazz, chiptune and whatnot, but, hey, it works. Works very well, for sure Very good job, man!

  8. I'm thinking about doing a remix of "Riku Theme" (KH2) but I'm not sure which place to submit the demo when it's done (got any suggestions). I'm doing it in my own style mixed with Dark Psytrance. Anyway the first demo won't be submitted until at least a few weeks later. If you accept me for this , then I will do my best to make my mix truly badass and original. Good luck to everyone and I hope this album turns out as great as the last 2.
