Whoa, I thought I was seeing things...this is one of my favorite tracks from my early teenage years and I'm working on a remix of it at this very moment. Love all the Mendelson stuff from TS, and I wish he did more game OSTs. I like how you just went all-out with the panning, and the added bass melody. The one thing I'll critique is that you have a lot of buzz/grit in your bass, and I think if you filter that down a little, a whole lot of the midrange from other instruments will shine through much brighter. I like the "ahhhs" a lot....I usually find synth choirs to be kinda cheesy but this one sounds cool. Always great to see love for this OST, and this track in particular. Nice job.

You know, when I saw in the project thread that Lashmush was doing a Doom ReMix, I got super excited, because, boy, his works on previous volumes is just superb to say the least. Imagine my reaction when this juggernaut was released into my ears for the first time. An epic, unapologetically brutal symphonic metal take on some of the best Doom music? Hell yeah, sign me up! Absolutely perfect shreddage combined with breathtaking orchestral parts is certainly what one may need when murdering a bunch of demons! Good stuff

Still working on this! Just hadn't been able to put in the work really hard. But I added some new progress in the original post. Still a lot of work to do but I'm in the home stretch composition wise. Then it's all the mixing and stuff I'm bad at haha.

In case anyone was wondering, I'm still alive, and I'm still watching. I'll be authoring up the page for the new album this week and will be looking forward to finishing it up once the album is finished. As always, I'm happy that folks are participating and I look forward to hearing your tracks as always!

It says 6 minutes long but it's not haha. I just let pro tools go into the distance haha. The new stuff starts at about 1:49 and progress stops at about 2:50. Before then is basically what I had made before unchanged. I want to start very atmospheric and conservative and then kind of explode into something else. I think I took it in a much different direction than some of you may have imagined initially. I really wanted to play around with the theme more so it's much more melodic/harmonic and less atmospheric than the beginning. Some things to note. Firstly, I haven't cleaned up the production yet so there is some unwanted clipping. Some of the distortion is intentional though. I'm also not done adding effects so there will definitely be more to come! That ominous ending from before will make a return, but I'm saving it for later. I'm also not sure if I want to use it for a transition or a closing like I originally intended. Anyway, let me know what you think! span widgetspan widgetpan widget
